Hello AH.com, long time reader, first time poster here.
I recently came across @President_Lincoln 's incredible storyline titled "Blue Skies in Camelot." I just finished reading through what has been finished thus far, and in anticipation of whatever Mr. President is planning on adding to the storyline, I came up with an idea away from the politics that BSiC primarily are centered around, despite the yearly pop culture updates.
I don't usually come across any sports storylines on this website, so I thought of adding one for myself centered around the BSiC universe.
I'm not an expert in any sport except for basketball, my first love. So therefore, I will only be posting about the NBA in this thread. If anybody else wants to step up and try to build an MLB or NFL universe, then go for it. Whatever adds to the universe, imo, the better.
Before getting into any stories, I would like to get a couple things straight, with this being my first real thread posted on this website.
First, I have compiled a list of every NBA champion thus far in the BSiC universe. The results are as follows:
1963: Boston Celtics win 6th NBA Championship in franchise history
1964: Boston Celtics win 7th NBA Championship in franchise history
1965: Boston Celtics win 8th NBA Championship in franchise history
1966: Boston Celtics win 9th NBA Championship in franchise history
1967: Philadelphia 76ers win 1st NBA Championship in franchise history
1968: Boston Celtics win 10th NBA Championship in franchise history
1969: Los Angeles Lakers win 6th NBA Championship in franchise history
1970: Boston Celtics win 11th NBA Championship in franchise history
1971: Baltimore Bullets win 2nd NBA Championship in franchise history
1972: Los Angeles Lakers win 7th NBA Championship in franchise history
1973: New York Knicks win 1st NBA Championship in franchise history
1974: Boston Celtics win 12th NBA Championship in franchise history
1975: Golden State Warriors win 3rd NBA Championship in franchise history
1976: Boston Celtics win 13th NBA Championship in franchise history
1977: Philadelphia 76ers win 2nd NBA Championship in franchise history
Now that that's out of the way, I do have a question for you guys:
Would you rather I start where @President_Lincoln left off in the BSiC universe (1978)?
or
Skip to 1985 when the NBA Draft Lottery was first established and we can see real change in the NBA landscape?
Let me know.
Another thing, my post schedule is likely to be a bit inconsistent because of school work and all that jazz, but I still wanted to come here with this idea just to maybe blow off some steam whenever I get a little bit of free time.
Let me know your thoughts.
