The Name of the Roses Before 1900

The flower names of roses is very important.
Sometimes roses are named after a famous person.
Who would you name a rose for?

Monsieur J. P. Vibert, a French nurseryman, introduced an old Moss rose, Chapeau de Napoléon (Napoleon's Hat) in 1826.
The pretext for that name was the shape of the blossom's calyx, the cup of green sepals that encloses the bud and later the flower base.
In Chapeau de Napoléon, this structure spreads into three wings like Napoleon's cocked hat.
