The Most Overused POD Situation

What do you think is the most overused POD in alternate history (so much that you would sigh and say, oh God not this shit again)?

For me it would be the CSA won the american civil war, the axis powers won WW2 also came to my mind

Nixon in 1960

Dewey in 1948

Robert Kennedy becoming President (half of this is due to Roguebeaver;))

Rommel takes Egypt

Or are those too specific?

Byzantine Empire survives and becomes Great power...

British Victory in the American War of Independence.

13 Colonies and the UK unite into one state.

War of 1812 goes better for either Britain or US.

American Revolutionaries take Quebec from British as well.

"What if we never dated"

I get that all the time. Actually, no I don't, I've not gotten a girl in ages. I kinda wish she had said it to me... Or I said it to her.

Some kind of variation of that is the most Overused POD. I mean it's like you regret being with me? Is that it!?!?:(

My question: Has anyone actually done a Byzantine TL?

You may as well as whether an Irishman has ever gotten tipsy.

But I'd agree with BG: America is very over-represented with the overused PsOD.
I'd say another is Harold winning the Battle of Hastings and Viking colonisation of the New World.
Oh, and the Austrian Empire collapsing after 1866.

Anything in a published work is highly likely to be very overused (sad but true).

So definitely winning Nazis, no ARW, Southern victory in the ACW, and surviving Rome.

Next to that is anything "Romantic"--anything where some highly idealized situation is thought to have been able to last longer. Surviving Rome is such, but I'm not sure what else is.
