A Spanish Victory
A Spanish Victory

“On 1662, the Spanish would give the Northern half of Luzon and their rights to the trade with Japan to the Portuguese in order to fix the issue of Portugal in their claims to the Philippines and the Spanish would reclaim their rights to Mollucas and also the Spanish would have given Portugal more autonomy with the Empire.”

Carlos II - Miguel Jenner AD 1999

“On 1662, a Spanish victory would have been reached as majority of the Cortes of Portugal shifted to the Spanish and Lisbon would have successfully been besieged by the Spanish, the Disabled Braganza claimant would die in prison while his brother was pardoned, while Catherine of Braganza was forcefully married to John Joseph of Austria.”

Short opening but I'll watch where it goes. Charles II was colourful to say the least. Without Catherine of Braganza does tea become popular in England?

A revolt that ended a chapter
A revolt that ended a chapter

“The Maniago-Almazan-Malong revolt on 1660’s have ended the time that the Spanish have held the Northern half of Luzon and jumpstarted the Portuguese rule there, this territory was ceded many decades after Celebes was ceded to the Portuguese, the revolt happened the Portuguese held Luzon would be called as Zambales or Sambali due to the tribes in the Western side of the territory and a certain festival in the territory in Piat in Cagayan de Zambales and the word Zambales is associated with head hunting and war, the other name of the territory and more names of the area is Selurong and Sapa, this revolt would have a factor in the national identity of Sambali/Zambales.”

Marriages that would shock the world
Marriages that would shock the world

“On 1670, Charles II would decide that the eldest daughter of James would have a Catholic marriage rather than protestant ones and decided to deny a marriage with the ruler of the Netherlands the eldest female daughter of his brother the Duke of Albany and instead he would have Mary of York married to the widowed Emperor Leopold I on 1673 and her sister Anne married to George, Prince of Denmark, which would make sense to him at that time, however William of Orange would lament the decision of Charles II and he himself would marry Claudia Felicitas of Austria after Mary of York is betrothed and later married the Holy Roman Emperor, however Mary herself would give birth to two sons named Joseph(1678) and Charles(1680) who would have saved the Habsburgs from extinction, however, during that time, James, duke of York and Albany would remarry to Eleanor of Neuberg on 1671.”

I'm impresses on how you can come up with 1001 ways to make Spain give up Luzon or parts of it :coldsweat:

Nothing bad intended

Since Luzon was majorly part of Majapahit and in Portuguese part of Tordesillas - Portugal has better claims to it, both Celebes and Northern Luzon would have made good compensation for Portugal in the treaty of Tordesillas and ITTL Spain keeps Portugal so they only cede that in title.

And Portugal is in charge of Opening Up Japan...but that is only in title since it is still under Spain.

Who would want his country screwed up like Kurdistan, so I want Luzon separate from the Philippines in the same way some one wants kurdistan and south sudan separate.
