The Halfbreeds are a superhero team that formed very recently; in 2022, in fact. Made of five half-alien girls born in the Hybrid Baby Boom who escaped the clutches of the infamous Pacific Coast Cell of the Alliance for the Protection of Human Achievement (ALPHA) and trained by the students of INSA in Gothamopolis, they have been dubbed "the next Octette" by Super Scoop magazine.

The members are:

Sakura "Xenox" Miyazaki, the leading, maternal, half-Japanese, half-Jhinta capable of copying others' powers
Delia "Psionica" Caulfield, the bright, sunny, half-Black, half-Varanyi with telekinesis and telepathy
Sonia "Hothead" Gutierrez, the tech-loving, laid-back, half-Cuban, half-Mandaarian capable of shooting fire
Xinlei (Cindy) "Zeppelin Girl" Wu, the serious, assertive half-Chinese, half-Kalishari capable of inflating her body like a balloon
Akshara "Rush" Gaur, the distracted, broody half-Indian, half-Harkarthian with super speed

As for Ghosts, they're a separate species, just like in the Nickstaverse (see Nickstaverse: Species of Terra). Ghosts use to eat other species' brains, but they switched to pies a while back.

The Sinister Six of Geopolitics are a collection of countries named by American superhero Super Duper Man in a speech to the United Nations. You probably can’t name them all, or even say anything about them, but superheroes know them well. Here they are, in no particular order:

1. Alandundu
Location: The bight of the western African coast
Borders: Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea
Capital: Obodo
Ethnicities: Gombe, Sokoro, Akwana
Languages: Igbo
Religions: Islam, Christianity, traditional African religions
Despot: President-for-Life Simon Zebenjo

Alandundu is a brutal dictatorship where one man rules alone: President-for-Life Simon Zebenjo. Rumor has it, Zebenjo runs a sprawling pan-African criminal network. He’s also rumored to be far stronger, faster, and tougher than any of his soldiers.

African superheroes have been able to vouch for that first rumor. Zebenjo allows for organizations to ship drugs, arms, blood diamonds, and other ill-gotten gains through Alandundu in exchange for payment, and he’s even set up smuggling networks of his own.

Another rumor related to the second is that Zebenjo is a shapeshifter. And just like the criminal network, heroes can vouch for both parts. Thanks to weekly demonic rituals, Zebenjo can turn all or part of his body into that of any African animal.

Of course, Alandundans are kept in the dark about all of this.

Let’s hope rebels like the Gombe and Sokoro peoples (who are mistreated by Simon Zebenjo and his fellow Akwana tribesmen), Christianity, Fr. Roger Udo, and the rebel group Hapu Anyi can make a change.

2. Tsaloristan
Location: Central Asia

Despot: President-for-Life Ghalji Kakazai

Hopping over to Central Asia, we see another absolute dictatorship: Tsaloristan.

This country’s regime might collapse, considering how many protests President-for-Life Ghalji Kakazai has to quash. Unfortunately, intel says that Kakazai has at least two superhumans working for him: earth controller Ghorzang “Geode” Solangi and precognitive brick Zarlesh “Wall” Sasooli.

Anyway, Kakazai runs Tsaloristan like a horrifying hybrid of a medieval baron and a mob boss. He controls everything in Tsaloristan and takes a cut of every transaction, large or small. The UN estimates his fortune at 10 billion US dollars, which he keeps in Swiss and Tsalori banks.

The “I get a cut of everything” rule extends to crime, by the way. He gets cuts from drugs, guns, slaves, and even superweapons. In fact, most supervillain technology is purchased from Tsalori sources.

Luckily, the banned-but-underground Tsalori Liberty Party keeps pumping out protests, and some criminals want to keep all their profits, so Kakazai might be taken out by these strange bedfellows.

3. Batavia
Location: The Carpathian mountains of Eastern Europe
Borders: Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Czechoslovakia
Capital: Uzhgorod
Ethnicities: Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian
Languages: Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian
Religions: Christianity
Despot: Premier Aleksei Zheleznov

Alandundu’s despot may keep his powers secret, but Aleksei Zheleznov, otherwise known as Kirpich, lets everyone know that he’s a brick. He runs his country with a metaphorically iron fist and a communist economy.

People who have visited Batavia say that the country looks like it’s stuck in the 1980s, with a brutalist architectural style and busts of Lenin and Stalin everywhere.

Kirpich has all the superpowers he needs to keep himself in power, but any other superhumans discovered are killed or jailed just to be safe. You know, if they don’t commit to Batavia’s army. Same goes for any vampires or werewolves who live in Batavia.

Every anti-speciesist organization's utter disgust with this, coupled with the EU’s growing influence and Kirpich’s advanced age (he’s 62), makes it likely that Batavia will fall in a few decades.

4. Nauka
Location: The Crimean peninsula in Eastern Europe
Borders: Ukraine
Capital: Znaniye
Ethnicities: Naukan
Languages: Russian, Ukrainian
Religions: Irreligion, Christianity
Despot: Supreme Scientist Timofei Kafelnikov

Nauka is the prime example of science in the wrong hands. Ever wonder how all these villains make scientific breakthroughs to create new weapons that can be bought from Tsaloristan? Naukan scientists make them.

Nauka was a secret scientific city-state in Crimea, but after the USSR collapsed, they went public and independent. Ukraine has tried to annex them twice, but failed both times due to Nauka’s immense technical knowhow.

Led by Supreme Scientist Timofei Kafelnikov, Nauka works tirelessly to make deadlier weapons and sell them to supervillains. Whether it’s arcanology, biology, chemistry, dimensional science, energy science, herology, information science, materials science, physics, robotics, or xenology, they’ll tackle it.

It’s a common superhero urban legend that Naukan scientists have developed a cure for HIV, but rather than save millions of lives, they force people to pay hundreds of thousands of US dollars for a dose. However, espionage in the Department of Biology has revealed nothing of the sort.

However, some Naukan scientists have said they want to draw lines as to who they collaborate with, so maybe Nauka will change from the inside out.

5. Mamlaka
Location: Arabian Peninsula
Borders: Arabia, Oman, Yemen
Capital: Asima
Ethnicities: Arab
Languages: Arabic
Religions: Islam
Despot: King Razeen ibn Shukri al-Khalid

Most of the Middle East is alright to live in. There are few questionable laws, but for the most part it’s okay. Why is that? Because of Mamlaka.

Mamlaka is a repressive Islamic theocracy that rabidly hates all things Western, and has become a Wahhabi... place that people flock to. It is ruled by King Razeen ibn Shukri al-Khalid, who rose to power following his father’s death in 2015.

In Mamlaka, supers must turn themselves over to the government to be used as tools of the state. If they're uncooperative (or a woman), they get to die. Mamlaka's most infamous super, a scorpion-man named Black Scorpion, instigated a massacre that killed Demoness (from the FBS)'s unit and gave her PTSD.

However, Mamlaka owns the isle of Socotra, and this might be its undoing.

Socotra has several species that live there and nowhere else, so Mamlaka is looking to move off of its huge oil industry, both to save the animals, and because you can’t jihad the infidels if hurricanes kill them all first.

Unfortunately, Mamlaka’s oil industry is how it's able to pacify its citizens through UBI. And since Mamlaka values the environment above jihad (surprisingly), the UBI might dry up, and the people would not be happy.

6. Roraima

Despot: President-for-Life Evandro Delgado da Cunha

This article has talked about ways that a regime in the Sinister Six might end, but in Roraima’s case, it’s a matter of “when”, not “if”.

President-for-Life Evandro Delgado da Cunha is 77 and, according to medical records, suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer’s. In his slipping mental state, he has grown more erratic. Roraima is going to collapse sooner or later, especially considering that Roraima’s government supervillain team has told A Seleção Brasileira how much they want to be heroes free of the government’s yoke.

Of course, one of da Cunha’s generals could easily swoop in and assert himself, but the Roraiman “villains” have said they’ll prevent that, and the Brazilian military and superteam will likely help back them up.

The Society for the Cataloguing Of Unusual Things or SCOUT is a public organization dedicated to categorizing all the effects of magic and other general weirdness.

The organization was founded in 1889 by frontier doctor Stanley Charles Pierce and Elijah Bradley in the small town of Kota, Minnesota. The day of the founding, Pierce found a glass lantern that didn’t break no matter how intensely he battered it. Taking it to local arcanologist Elijah Bradley, Pierce discovered that the object was imbued with innate magical energy. Pierce became obsessed with finding more magical objects with Bradley's help, eventually founding SCOUT.

In the over a century since, SCOUT has grown to encompass every country on Earth, and operates several subsidiaries, including The Gallery Of Unusual Things or GOUT, a museum of unusual objects, The Survey Of Unusual Places or SOUP, a travel guide specializing in unusual places, and The List Of Unusual Diseases or LOUD, a home medicine guide for treating unusual illnesses.

The Pierce lineage has kept control of SCOUT under the nom de bizarre Dr. Anomalous. In 2015, SCOUT created their own nine-member superhero team called The Anomaleague. They were enlisted after the current Dr. Anomalous offered to take the superpowered art collective Is That Cool Or What? under his wing as community service for causing an outbreak of Stendhal syndrome. The lineup consists of:

Agony, a pain inducer who led ITCOW
Butcher, a predatory animal controller with Down Syndrome
Cranky, a robot of variable intelligence depending on Wi-Fi strength
Diamond Mike, a former spelunker made of crystal
Gloom, a darkness controller who wasn’t actually in ITCOW; she was Dr. Anomalous’s stepdaughter
Madnut, a retired ent superhero
Screech, a scientist with sound-projecting power armor
Seism, a former acrobat with vibration powers
Slasher, a former NHL player who took up art during a suspension, and now has anti-gravity skates

In 2018, some believed SCOUT intern Cassandra Crawford (now Miss Methane) could become a tenth member after her mutant flatulence powers manifested, but she chose to join the Federal Bureau of Superheroics instead.

Nort Explains: The Rules of Boomball!

Boomball is a sport played by two teams of 40 players, with 16 players taking to the field at any one time.

On the field, each team has…

Boomball is played on a rectangular field measuring 360 feet by 160 feet. Players need a lot of stamina to cover this much ground.

After having two lines 30 feet from the end, the remaining 300 feet of the field is split into quarters. The center circle, where every game begins, has a radius of 15 feet. It’s surrounded by a square with sides 60 feet long. The field also has 8 restart squares with sides 25 feet long.

The game starts with a bounce-off in the center circle on the halfway line. The object of the game is for your team to score more points than the opposing team. To score, a player can kick, punch, or throw the ball past the goalkeeper for a goal worth six points. A ball that is kicked, punched, or thrown and flies over a crossbar earns a three-point over. Between a long goal post and a shorter behind post earns a behind for just one point.

The game is played in four 15-minute quarters for a combined playing time of 60 minutes. The team with the most points as time expires wins.

The defense can tackle, block shots, push the ball carrier out of bounds, intercept passes, and strip the ball carrier.

Once the ball carrier is tackled six times, the ball is given to the other team.

To advance the ball, players must be able to stay on their feet and keep the ball circulating. A ball carrier can take six steps before he has to pass to a teammate, but he can dribble the ball if he wants to keep possession. Passes must be punched or thrown. Kicking is only allowed when taking a free kick and attempting to score. If a pass is dropped, the ball is live and either team may recover it.

Substitutions are made between whistles or in case of injury or ejection.

Fouls include tackling above the shoulders or below the knees, gamesmanship, stepping past the scoring line, and delay of game. However, games cannot end on a defensive penalty. Attackers can attempt scores, free kicks, or penalty shots after the final siren.

When a team is awarded a free kick, the ball is teed up at the scoring line. When a team is awarded a penalty shot, the ball is teed up at the penalty arc. Penalty shots can be kicked, punched, or thrown. If a goalie blocks a penalty shot, the goalie’s team is awarded one point.

Once a team advances the ball past the quarter line into the attack zone, they have 30 seconds to attempt a score. Failure to shoot in the 30 seconds results in a shot clock violation.

After a score, the goalie can inbound the ball by throwing it to a back pocket, or kicking it to a teammate in the midfield or attack zone.

Lastly, if the ball goes out of bounds, a penalty is called, or a timeout is called, a bounce-off is used to restart play.

1958 - In a bid to get New York City a non-Yankees baseball team, attorney William Shea files a challenge to the MLB's antitrust exemption. The MLB, rather than expand to neuter the challenge, says, "I'd like to see you try."

1960 - The new Continental League begins play with eight teams: the Atlanta Eagles, Buffalo Bisons, Dallas Rangers, Denver Bears, Houston Colts, Minnesota Twins, New York Metropolitans, and Toronto Huskies

1962 - The Shea Case is decided in the CL's favor and the MLB reluctantly allows the CL to become the third league in the MLB.

1964 - The CL teams join the AL and NL in the MLB. Following the merger, the World Series is changed to a round-robin format at a neutral site. Each of the three league champions will face each other twice, and the top two teams will play a three-game series for the championship, The All-Star Game is also split into three All-Star Series, with AL-CL in late May, CL-NL in mid-June, and AL-NL in early July.

1966 - Nervous about not having a New York team, the NL decides to shore up their control of the West Coast by moving the Milwaukee Braves to Seattle. Also, to compete with the AL and NL, the CL announces they will have a new position: the designated hitter. The CL also announces an intention to expand to 10 teams by 1970.

1967 - It has become an open secret that Athletics owner Charlie Finley wants to leave Kansas City. A group of Milwaukee investors, still sore from losing the Braves, purchase… *drumroll* …the Chicago White Sox? While strange, the White Sox move frees up Chicago for the AL, which spurs Finley to move the Athletics. The Milwaukee White Sox and Chicago A's begin play next season.

1970 - Making good on its expansion announcement, the CL adds the Kansas City Royals and, to give the Braves a rival, the Vancouver Grizzlies.

1971 - Not wanting to be left behind in expansion, the NL adds the San Diego Padres and Montreal Expos.

1972 - Stuck as the last to the expansion party, the AL adds the Miami Marlins and New Orleans Blues. Each league now has 10 teams, and they divide them into two divisions of five teams. The All-Star Series is changed back to an All-Star Game of East Divisions vs. West Divisions.

1973 - The AL gains a West Coast foothold when the Washington Senators move to become the Oakland Mariners and, after one disastrous season, the New Orleans Blues move to become the Anaheim Angels. Also, the AL adopts the DH rule.

1980 - During a decade fraught with economic troubles, two-to-three-hour time zone differentials, and energy crises, travel costs soar. The Pittsburgh Pirates, growing dissatisfied with their lease on Three Rivers Stadium, decided to move to New Orleans's new stadium where the NFL's Jazzmen play.

1983 - To decrease travel costs, the MLB institutes interleague play.

1985 - Due a downturn in the Canadian dollar, the Vancouver Grizzlies move to become the Washington Rivermen.

1992 - Hurricane Andrew forces the Marlins to finish their season in Tampa.

1994 - A World Series-cancelling labor dispute forces the MLB to announce expansion to curtail the rise of another rival league. Two new teams and a fourth league will begin play in 1997.

1997 - The International League begins play, as do the Pittsburgh Pythons and Tampa Rays. The AAA International League is renamed the American Association, and AAA realignment takes place. To balance out the AL and CL, the IL will not use the DH rule. The World Series is now a five-game series between the division winners, followed by a seven-game series in a 1v4 and 2v3 format seeded based on the league champions' regular season records, followed by a seven-game series between those winners. The All-Star Game is changed once again to a two-day All-Star Extravaganza, consisting of six three-inning games, with the AL-CL, IL-NL, and CL-IL games on Tuesday, and the AL-NL, AL-IL, and CL-NL games on Wednesday. Additionally, the pitch clock and all the other game-speeding stuff that happened in OTL 2023 is instituted.

2002 - The CL adds the Arizona Diamondbacks and Carolina Infantry (based out of Charlotte).

2004 - An ownership crisis causes the Montreal Expos move to become the San Juan Senadores.

2005 - Hurricane Katrina forces the Pirates to finish their season in San Antonio.

2007 - The AL adds the Kentucky Mustangs and San Antonio Caballeros.

2012 - The NL adds the Las Vegas Aces and Memphis Pharaohs.

2017 - Thanks to a rebounding Canadian dollar, the IL finally lives up to its name and adds the Montreal Owls and Vancouver Mounties. Also, Hurricane Maria forces the San Juan Senadores to finish their season in Oklahoma City.

2020 - Following the death of George Floyd, the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Braves are renamed the Spiders and Heroes, respectively.

2022 - The DH rule becomes universal. Also, following the retrocession of the District of Columbia to Maryland, the Washington Rivermen rename themselves the DC Rivermen, with the DC standing for "Douglass County".

This is a very big entry but basically, in the Nickstaverse, Lamar Hunt and Bud Adams get their expansion teams. This delays a rival's creation to 1970, when Gary Davidson of ABA and WHA fame and WFL infamy creates the AFL. In 1980, the USFL shows up and sticks around. Today, there are two 32-team football leagues providing football year-round. Strangely, I think that in the Nickstaverse, baseball is still more popular than football. I attribute this to there not being an AFL to drive up contracts until the 1970s, as well as the year-round availability of football counterintuitively lowering interest in the sport (sort of a "Football will always be there, baseball won't." mindset). Here's where the Nickstaverse all started: the Indiana State Super Academy. I started out with just 18 students, but I eventually expanded the student body to 30, and alsoo made it be one of 50 Super Academies in America.

But I digress, Indiana's is based in Gothamopolis, a city built on the ruins of Gary that functions as the Fort Worth to Chicago's Dallas. Here are the thirty students attending INSA:

Amaranth Archer (Aaron Archer): A bow-and-arrow user who's cleaning up the streets for his big sister Argent Archer while she's off at college
Atlan (Atlan): The heir apparent to the throne of Lake Michigan, childhood friend of Pyro and Light Bulb, and an expert in underwater combat
Blackout (Marilyn Shelby): The daughter of the retired supervillain Edgelord Deathslayer, she can create dark energy constructs and portals
Blockhead (Rockwell): A dimwitted but well-meaning earth golem from Gothamopolis's Golemia neighborhood who is made of stone, obviously
Chlora (Dinah Rosenberg): A orphaned plant who was adopted by a nice Jewish couple and has elastic vine-like limbs and pollen and pheromone shots
Chronokid (Martin Pali): A kid who uses the time-controlling harness his dad invented to be an awesome athlete, thrill-seeker, and superhero
Deadweight (Sanjay Kenchen): The son of the two Indian inventors behind several useless knickknacks, he invented a gravity belt that lets him control gravity
Deep Freeze (Malcolm McMurdo): The son of the ice-controlling superhero Icebox, he inherited his dad's powers and love of freezing villains
Enferma (Serena Ramirez): A Mexican immigrant whose life was complicated by her autism and her gaining disease manipulation powers
Format (Jack Hanssen): A shapeshifter whose bullying days ended with Pyro, Light Bulb, and Atlan taking him down back before they all went to INSA
Hairspray (Cassandra Agarra): A Afro-Chicano girl who found out she was actually Fassai-Chicano, and thus had prehensile hair to tie up villains with
Human Balloon (Rebecca Charleston): An aspiring school reporter who gained the ability to inflate her body like a balloon thanks to a chemical drenching
Kid Strychnine (Brian Espada): The son of the poison-controlling hero Poisoner and the femme fatale anithero Scorpion who turned out to be a major class clown
Light Bulb (Kiara Bright): The daughter of the light-controlling heroine Glow, she's Atlan's friend, Pyro's girlfriend, and an all-around nice girl
Magix (Nicole Pearson): A magical prodigy who, in her spare time, enjoys styling her friends' hair, growing ice cream cones, and messing with villains
Magnus (Henry Weber): A superhero whose power lineage had defied the odds by lasting from the Civil Rights era to today, baffling geneticists
Mimic (Sandra Vuvusol): A half-Cherokee, half-Jhinta girl whose family moved from Tahlequah to Gothamopolis to get the best super education
Morningstar (Lucifer): A light golem whose parents' choice to give him a traditional light golem name led to a turn to crime, and eventually, redemption
Nitro (Alan Berryman): The son of the speedster Nanosecond, he can run fast enough to confuse any villain, but not phase through walls, that'd be ridiculous
Phantom Load (Electra): A lightning golem who, like, just wants to text her followers about how on fleek her electricity-controlling superheroine game is
Princess Precious (Katrina Zorin): A human-metal golem hybrid who can turn into metal, and use her father's wealth responsibly to fund her supercareer
Pyro (Isaiah Goratski): The son of the fire-controlling superhero Fireball, he's Light Bulb's boyfriend, Atlan's best friend, and is the school's de facto leader
Rainboy (Benjamin Harvey): The son of INSA counselor Rainbro, he can shoot rainbows to light up those villains with the full visible spectrum
Slickster (Stephanie McQueen): A human-blob hybrid whose liquid body greatly aids her in fighting villains and pranking fellow students with Kid Strychnine
Sonar (Bruce King): The son of the late sound-controlling heroine Scream who turned around his dad's anti-super views through defeating the villain that killed his mom
Telp (Harold Rhodes): A half-Varanyi kid who has telekinesis and telepathy, which he uses to be a big nerd who gets stuffed into lockers and does math
Vampira (Anna Huang): A half-Chinese, half-vampire girl who has her mother's chiropteran and gaseous forms and her father's sun resistance
Vapora (Rei): A gaswinder who, like all gaswinders, can turn into thick black smoke to obscure the battlefield and suffocate villains without breaking a sweat
Zapotron (Zapper #ZP40): A robot who's super smart, super strong, and has telescopic limbs to better rope in his friends for congratulatory hugs
Zomboy (Tarık Çürük): A rising zombie hero who had to flee his home in Türkiye due to his Christian faith and take his tankiness to Gothamopolis

Here's another Super Academy, this time based out of Weaverton, Washington, a newer, better Tacoma built after Dr. Destruction laid waste to the city. Here are the twenty students:

Bast (Michelle Berry): A cat person who gained the ability to turn into an actual cat person after a villain team broke an enchanted Egyptian vase on her
Bluebird (Rita Allman): The daughter of WASA vice-principal Blue Jay, she's just here for her mom and is planning on just being a reserve
Cleidd (Arwen Moonlight): A light elf who moved to Weaverton from Newland and is armed with a sword and lack of knowledge of Earth culture
Clobber (Eddie Atkins): A super strong and nigh-invulnerable kid who caught WASA's attention after hospitalizing his abusive dad
Donald (Donald Jacobson): A socially awkward autistic savant who mostly helps out by building gadgets that would amaze Jimmy Neutron
Easifa (Saqib Sadoon): A Syrian-born weather controller who moved to America to be with his extended family and to get a better super education
Hypnotic Boy (Xavier Shields): The illegitimate son of a disgraced KenCo executive and his Pakistani housemaid who uses his mind control to shore up his ego
Jumper (Curtis Garcia): A teleporting prankster who can make heroes laugh, villains annoyed, and his teachers wonder if he's going to do his homework
Laser (Satya Roshanee): A young girl who has a metabolic disorder that causes her to occasionally shoot devastating lasers, hence the control rod
Littlefoot (Charlie Stevens): A sasquatch who was orphaned in a forest fire and adopted by two brothers who didn't read the fine print on the "Adopt-a-Squatch" site
Nighthawk (Nina Suarez): An energy controller who can create silver energy constructs, shoot laser blasts, and fly by creating silvery wings
Projecta (Laura Oxford): The disowned illusionist daughter of the controversial Rev. Gregory Oxford, leader of an anti-superhuman Protestant denomination
Shadow (Suki Nakamura): A Japanese immigrant who can turn into a shadow thanks to the combination of a superhuman ancestor and a curse placed upon him
Shocker (Manny Park): A half-Korean, half-Kadathari kid who can shoot lightning to fry supervillains and charge his friends' phones
Spinnerette (Gwen Peterson): A superhero geek who irradiated a spider and let it bite her to get spider powers, and ending up becoming a giant humanoid spider
Starlight (Latrell Compton): An energy controller who can create gold energy constructs, shoot laser blasts, and fly by creating a golden aura
Toxin (Carrie Hart): A girl with a toxic touch that she only recently gained control over, thanks to an experimental toxin being partially neutralized by true love's kiss
Triton (Tolumanatu): The second-in-line to the throne of Puget Sound after his superhero big sister, whom he is following in the footsteps of
White Witch (Leticia Davis): A magical prodigy who would very much like to use her powers for good, no matter what her weird Christian uncle thinks
Wraith (Lucas Stone): A kid who was turned into a cyborg by his evil dad to be his henchman, only for him to be rescued by the FBS and start going to WASA

Here's the last Super Academy. This one is from Bold City, Colorado, which is just Boulder renamed after a battle during the Jhinu War. Here are the eighteen students:

Brainwave (Ellen Benson): A prank-loving telepath who has surprisingly good grades considering she doesn’t pay much attention
Brawn Boy (Tony Patton): A super strong and invulnerable jock who misses being able to compete in high school sports like the normies
Coldsnap (Annie Arthur): A lovelorn ice controller who misses her middle school sweetheart from Colorado Springs every day
Diva (Deliza Vaughan): A sassy sound controller who loves the 70s because of the fashion, the music, and the Civil Rights Act being a thing
Draft Punk (Enrique Noriega): An air controller who formed a fast friendship with Nasr and helps him fly longer by giving him updrafts
Emotive (Angela Riley): An emotion controller who keeps getting in trouble for cheering up her fellow students with her powers
Flicker (Sophia Jefferson): A studious teleporter who sees herself as more of a student and is often too busy doing homework to fight crime
Impact (Robert Ashford): COSA’s de facto leader who can absorb energy to strengthen himself, and worries his evil dad will escape Tartarus
IQ (Ignacio Quesada): A precognitive with little-to-no human empathy as powers make him reduce everything to an equation he can solve
Nasr (Firefeather): A roc who emigrated from Jordan and formed a fast friendship with Draft Punk, who gives him updrafts to fly longer
Nettle (Arvok): The son of two Prylenish diplomats from Sha-Prylen who helped the Prylenish join the Orion Alliance and loves Earth
Nighttime (Lisa Remington): A shy, withdrawn, socially awkward sleep inducer, and the slightly younger twin sister of Sleeper
Outcast (Denephew Sanford): A repeller from a bad neighborhood who hopes that he can become a famous hero to help out his neighborhood
Puddle Girl (Xiuli (Julie) Chen): A Chinese immigrant girl who can turn into liquid, but is only starting to learn how to move as a liquid
Sleeper (Andrew Remington): Nighttime’s slightly older twin brother who hopes to get his sister to be more outgoing, but might go too far at times
Stretch (James Meyer): An elastic good-natured slacker who could definitely use some discipline, as he's often seen being funny rather than actually working
Thunderboy (Ted Johnson): A brash young electricity controller who uses his recklessness to hide his survivor’s guilt for letting a villain kill his girlfriend
Timestream (Tim Rivera): A time controller who feels like his ability to control time itself makes him better than everyone else
