The Man In The High Castle Season 4: What happens after Season 4?

Now that I think about it, the show never told us what form of Communism the BCR practiced. Marxist-Leninism? TTL's version of Maoism?

"You do know we're Communists, right?"

Well, what kind of Communists are you? No one describes their ideology in such a casual, non-descriptive manner.
I think that's just because the show has a history of vague, implausible names. "Greater Nazi Reich" is easily the worst one. The book had a Vichy-style United States, which makes a lot more sense.

I'd like to think they are Maoist as with most African communist movements in the Cold War. Either way, them being communist would mean bullet to the back of the head ones the Reich forces come and rounded them up.
With Soviet Union destroyed, Maoism doesn’t exist as this split from Marxism-Leninism due conflicts with Khrushchev. We don’t even know if Mao is alive or relevant in not-Japanese dominated China. Maybe BCR could introduce a new version of Communism itself, like Lenin introduced Marxism-Leninism.

African Marxism, maybe? A specifically African-American form of socialism.

Somehow, I think the BCR is worse since at least with the GNR, you can at least tell they're American Nazis. They explore Nazi ideology and it's impact on what we perceive as the American way of life.

But with the BCR? They only mention that they're Communist once or twice. Come on, at least call them the Black Front for Liberation or something if you're going to be that vague about their ideology.

Since we're talking about an armed resistance group, maybe it's a Leninist revolutionary vanguard?

Didn't Mao's communist ideology of Maoism inspire others overseas just before World War II?

That's possible yeah. Keep in mind in the 1930s, a significant number of African-American emigrated to the Soviet Union due to the Great Depression.

Nope, Mao was in the middle of a civil war just after the civil war and ideologically he was aligned with Stalin. After Khrushchev took the power and denounced Stalinist crimes, Mao interpreted this as revisionism and caused the Simo-Soviet Split.
Maybe this could be a sort of BlackPantherism under the name “Communism”, based on creation of a black enclave like New Africa?

The Ethnostate the BCR wanted does resemble the OTL proposal of the Republic of New Africa.

Maybe, but few people go to the zoo to free all the animals. :p To specify on my headcanon, I interpret the greater multiverse community having an absolutely nihilistic outlook on everything. Since everyone has infinite copies somewhere else, the survival of any one copy is ultimately irrelevant. There's no reason to help anyone out because they're all irrelevant specks of dust in an infinite sea.

You'd still have idle super-rich starting revolutions and overthrowing governments on backwards timelines just for shits and giggles.

Does anyone have any ideas as for what ends up happening to Ed, Nicole, and Childan? I was really fond of these three characters, and I hate how Season 4 just never explained what ends up happening to any of them.

Fan theories include that Ed went underground. Nicole was sent to a reeducation camp for being a lesbian and was probably ordered to remain in Berlin. Childan hitched a ride with some Japanese citizens on a boat chartered by the Yakuza since these citizens didn't make it to the official IJN evacuation ships.
