The Man In The High Castle Season 3: Possible Inter-parallel War?

The trailer mentioned about the Nazis traveling to different universes to steal technology and develop their own advances.

Now this opens up the possibility, if the Nazis and the Japanese Empire did invade our world in October 1962 in the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the U.S. and the USSR would be shocked at first but I guess the East-West tensions during the Cold War will subside. Basically, the world goes "Independence Day" on the GNR and the Japanese Empire.

Plus, I'm just guessing that President JFK is aware of the Resistance since where do all these films come from.

While the Nazis have more advanced tech in their MTHC TL, our TL has four nuclear armed nations (USA, USSR, UK, France) and tons of aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, fighter jets, bombers, and helicoptes.

How do you think this Inter-parallel universe war would play out?

Sounds plausible
I'd imagine while the United Nations was intensely debating on how to peacefully avert the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 13 Days Period, Nazi airships start appearing from portals over the Eastern Seaboard. This shocks the world as JFK readies the armed forces to push back the interdimensional Nazis out from the U.S.

Then the Cuban Missile Crisis would come to an end as the East-West blocs of the Cold War go "Independence Day" on the GNR and the Japanese Empire.

Per season 2, the Nazis apparently don't have the hydrogen bomb.

Soviets drop the Tsar Bomba on 'Welthauptstadt Germania'?

Nazis have the Heisenberg Device (OTL Equivalent: A-bombs) as far as a I know. The Japanese meanwhile used the film of the Castle Baker 1946 nuclear test as bluff to tell the German they have the H-Device as well.

As for the Tsar Bomba, the GNR realizes to their dismay it was wrong to invade our world in the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Yep. Hmm the Bundeswehr and the Nationale Volksarmee end up facing Nazi German forces. That could be interesting.

I do wonder whether the High Castle world Japanese would try to backstab the Nazis. Even if we take out the fact that they almost went to war at the end of season 2, relations are extremely poor and the Japanese are working on their own A-bomb...since they somehow have not been able to build one thus far.

The Bundeswehr and the NVA would put aside their differences to fight the interdimensional Nazi forces. Many of the Bundeswehr would try to atone for the sins of their ancestors while the NVA being part of a communist country would fight the rise of fascism again with AK-47s. The problem is weeding out Nazi sympathizers in the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic.

The Japanese would definitely try to get their hands on the Heisenberg device to show the Nazis they aren't alone in possessing nuclear weapons. Even interestingly would be how the JSDF would react to seeing Imperial Forces in 1962. It would probably cause division since there were nationalists still bitter over Japan's defeat to the Allies. An example of this would be the actor Yukio Mishima would staged a coup in 1970 for wanting to restore the Empire.

Regionally, the appearance of Imperial Japanese would push the People's Republic of China to develop nuclear weapons faster while both Koreas would probably reunite.

The logistics of transdimensional invasion are ridiculous. The best chance the fascists would have it to appear in Antarctica and build up their forces before making themselves known.

It seems more likely that the Axis will take a sneaker infiltration based approach to other worlds since it's a lot safer and doesn't require them to divert as much military forces(not to mention being much easier on a TV show budget).

It is. But the Nazis are advanced in the Axis Win timeline. Maybe they would have developed portals.

Then in the case, the war is clandestine, conducted by the CIA, FBI, NSA, MI6, KGB, and the Mossad.

Yeah the show Fringe had a similar arc about a secret war between clandestine branches of two different iterations of the US government in different universes.

Season three addresses this exact issue. The portal is far from efficient.
Hawthorne made it pretty clear, that persons who exist in both realities cant just travel to another plane unless they want instant death. What means that any kind of inter parallel war is just not feasible. But that might be a bluff after all.

Considering that most Axis troops would be dead in the Allied world, and vice versa, that wouldn’t be a big problem. It’s the fact that they can only send a few men at a time.
