On the other hand, a lot of the Philippine literary tradition ended up in folklore, no? Which was written down by the friars, albeit primarily in the Spanish language. Of course, it's not as good as the original.I think one of the saddest instances of lost knowledge are those were whole cultures lost their literature tradition. The Maya have been already mentioned and are probably the most famous example of this. Al-numbers mentioned Malacca Sultanate, which I was not familiar with previously, but is a quite good example of this too. The Philippines also suffered quite greatly, to the extent that we have now literally only one very short written source from the period before the 16th century, even though the country used to have a rich literature tradition before the Spanish came.
I also wanted to know Leo Tolstoy's second War and Peace, though that's not exact "ancient", but let's still say 1900.What exactly is the limit year for this? 1500? 1800? 1900?

The OP himself included Zheng He's charts here, though; Zheng He lived in the early 1400s.The OP says "ancient texts" which probably gives a limit year around the fall of the western Roman Empire.
