CHURCHILL, WINSTON LEONARD SPENCER, CH, TD, PC, born at Blenheim, Oxfordshire on the 30th November 1874, died earlier this week in a traffic accident in the city of New York while visiting the United States, aged 57. A distinguished politician, Churchill was fomer Home Secretary and Chancellor of the Exchequer, as well as serving as First Lord of the Admiralty during the Great War, where he is chiefly remembered for his involvement in the Galipoli Campaign. As Chancellor, Mr. Churchill was instrumental in resisting the General Strike of 1926 and bringing the United Kingdom back onto the Gold Standard, while as Home Secretary his controversial opposition to militant Trade Unionism and the Suffragette movement was notable. He is survived by his wife Clementine and four children.

Yes, this is a Churchill dies in 1931 timeline. I've been meaning to do this for a long while, but a thread on here (guess which!) resparked my intentions. While I've done some cursory reading I'm not an expert on WW2, so please point out any major flaws. And I might be updating this only infrequently, depending on how I go.
