The Lion Haired Men

- Estan should voyage outside the Pillars of Byax and found cities along the coast of Khestiu and the islands of the Weshesh. He set forth with twenty ships of fifty oars and a multitude of men and women, to the number of ten thousand, and with salted meat and other provisions.

After passing through the Pillars, they went on and sailed beyond where they saw the first great peoples which we called the Keftiu. Thence they sailed east to Ugart and here they set up an altar to Amalox. They proceeded again back into the Weshesh and there they settled cities by the sea which we call Snuhsnehur, Jalon, Halon, Sala and Peshmeig.

Sailing thence, they came to the Don, a great river flowing from the forests of the far north. By it were a wandering people, the Dyuh, were pasturing their flocks; with whom they remained some time, becoming friends.

Above these folk lived unfriendly Wologosu. These were savage men wearing the skins of wild beasts, who threw stones at the Amaloxians. Thence, Estan landed from his ships and did battle with the Wologosu. The Amaloxians had better weapons forged from the Zefronic Mountains yet the Wologosu were victorious for they did not fight on foot like other men.

They escaped for they could not do battle with the Wologosu. Thence they sailed, following, the coast which was peopled by the Pla, men who had come from the far east yet they too shared the lion hair of the Wologosu and the Dyuh. The Dyuh settled amongst the Pla with the Wologosu who had been captured. The prisoners were flayed and their skins were brought to the Amaloxians. Provisions failed them forcing them back to the Hatumaua from whence they came.

Back they sailed -
