The Kingdom of Montenegro

Suppose Nicolas I of Montenegro hadn't sided with the Etente during World War 1, get his country overrun by the Austrians and then get added to Yugoslavia by Woodrow Wilson. What path would Montenegro take throughout 1914 to today, and how would it effect Europe?

If somehow they where able to stay neutral in WWI, and avoided Yugoslavia, then I'm afraid to say that Fascist Italy is going to eat them alive. Probably before Albanian.

He might get overthrown.
If not, independent Montenegro would not last on its own (probably Italian protectorate), after WW2 it might join Yugoslavia or not. It would be fun to see on which side they stand on Tito-Stalin split though.
