The Kingdom of Middag survives

If the Europeans did not colonize areas in asia and the Ming did not collapse and Taiwanese Kingdom of Middag survives in Taiwan survives my question is that how would The Kingdom of Middag's relations be with China, Japan and the Sultanate of Manila(OTL Luzon area, Philippines) would these three forces try to get a piece of Taiwan or would they not..

Interesting little bit of history here. Can't really answer your questions, but I'll be interested to see if anyone else does.

Without European colonization, there may have never been enough pressure for a centralised kingdom to arise. Besides, it's relly difficult to avoid the Europeans.

As for the survival of the Middag - Koxinga not settling down in Taiwan might help. How to do it? I don't know. If the Qing never develop an interest in Taiwan becasue they wouldn't ahve had the early war with Kozinga and the subsequent conquest of a foothold...

...maybe the Middag could survive as tributary to the Qing, until (if that still happens) the Europeans get really busy in the late 18th/19th c.

Actually I doubt it if Ming would fall if the Europeans did not venture to asia creating colonies.
