The Irony in Islam

What would happen if Muhammad was revealed, when he was in Medinah that the sons of his most staunchest opponents would become leaders of the Muslims?

Yazid son of Abu Sufyan would lead Islamic armies to attack Persia and Byzantium

Ikrimah the son of the staunchest opponent of Islam Abu Jahl would also lead armies, and defeat Byzantines.

Muawiyah son of Abu Sufyan would become a Caliph

Marwan son of Al-Hakam ibn Abi Al-As both of whom he cursed would become another Caliph

If you believe that Muhammad really was The Messenger of God, it's quite an open secret (objectively as in "widely believed") among muslims that it had must been already revealed to Muhammad SAW already.

But the one that would really answer your curiosity will maybe about knowing why, instead of massacring and persecuting the populace of Mecca after the capture of the city, Muhammad actually spared them and didn't even force conversion onto them ?

Besides, if his objective was really about making that new religion of his to be adopted by everybody within his reach, WHY should he be instead having any unfavorable impression at seeing his former enemies convert to his religion, which would require acknowledging his power and grace ??

No matter whether Muhammad was already know about it before even happening from divine revelation or anything. It seems to me as almost everything that he really wanted. I'm very sure if he was aware about his former enemies repented, he would had been but delightful. Why should it be otherwise ?

He woul've been very happy, knowing that the next generation would embrace Islam.
