excellent chapter but I'm afraid that Japan will see America making it understand the meaning of "freedom" and "democracy", especially as Long is apathetic to the emperor and would prefer a Japanese republic. The worst thing would be another atomic bombing of Japan to avoid American losses.

Well, I didn't expected that Japan here will be more turbulent. I am assuming what happens in Japan would affect US support for Russia.
Then he would think the Emperor was endangered out of denial, he would not want to believe the Emperor could be the one conspiring in favor of a coup.

Well Hess is not Stalin or Hitler, plus he’s came to power is dubious to some, so I would imagine there will be someone willing to put several bullets to his skull.

Well in the China chapter he mentioned things that happened in the 60's, such a Peru going communist, so I dont think that a full world ending Nuclear War will happen I think that the most likely option is that the western part of Siberia Russia is turned into a nuclear wasteland, but Russia still fights on with American equipment and it degenerates into a proxy war or with Hydriech making such an isane ultimatium Gobbels directly takes over in a coup and settles for a white peace with Russia to recoup that wnds up becoming permanent

I have not specified if Peru will go communist, only that the mainstream version of communism is based around Maoism.
