The heresy that walked like an empire

Valdemar II

Soo... other comments before I hopefully update again next week?

So, amassing what little motivation I have left, this is a rough outline of a possible timeline.

1785: After forcing through the exchange of all Bavaria for the Austrian Netherlands against princely opposition, Joseph II. starts another round of internal reforms. Meanwhile, Karl Theodor is crowned as king Karl IV. of the kingdom of Burgundy.
1785-1789: Continuous uprisings through the Habsburg possessions due to Joseph's badly done reforms.

The continueos uprising are likely to be much more limited than in OTL. The Uprisings was strongest in Austrian Netherland, Tyrol, Hungary and Galicia. The lack of Galicia and Austrian Netherland would mean that they could be put down more easily, and the reform could be rushed through. The reforms would mean a weaker Austria in short view, but in ten to twenty years it would make Austria a lot stronger, with a much more unified adminstration, culture and army and a stronger economy
That would also mean that Joseph II would live longer, which would both be a blessing and a curse for Austria.

That is a very valid point which I managed to completely overlook. Thanks.
Thankfully, that is now still a few updates away. :)
