I remember that I said reality was to depressing and Isabel did get a vastly different ending.

-Juan did not die at 17 (even if this is a different Juan born in 1470 instead of 1478) and even has gotten his first grandchild now.

-Infanta Isabella is living happily in Portugal with her beloved Alfonso and children thriving. Unlike going of the deep end in grief and dying in childbed with Miguel. The jews of Portugal are breathing a relief at this.

-Infanta Juana is in a happy and healthy marriage with a handsome duke who isn't a terrible shit-cactus. And she doesn't have to deal with being in the middle of a tug of war with her parents and husband either. Or be declared insane and locked up so that others can claim her rights.

-Infanta Maria doesn't exist, but Infante Ferdinand is the second son they always wanted. Not the sunniest person in the world. Charlotte d'Albret seems to adore him thou.

-Infanta Catalina did not have to grow up with the later family sorrows and she does not get her value crashed when her mother dies. She remains the valuable sister of the king of Castile and Navarre and later of Aragon. She does not spend the first years in England in a damp castle with a overbearing duenna and a household in chaos. Or loose her husband and spent several years as widow. Here she is the newly minted Queen Consort of Richard IV of England with two thriving children and a loving spouse.

Now Ferdinand II of Aragon are gonna have to find something else to do since there is no Italian War and Navarre is already in Juan and Catherine's hands...
@isabella, help?

Very happy differences!

Maybe Ferdinand can help his son begin fostering a sense unity between the realms of spain?

She did otl. But not on my watch.

Yep, and of course making madrid a capital worthy of such a kingdom.
I'm actually thinking of making Toledo the capital instead. But Juan and Catherine are gonna have a moving court for the most part.

He can relax and dedicate himself to his mistresses… or fight the Arabs/Ottomans… Roussillon belong to Aragorn or France here?
I think that the there can be a small conflict between France and Spain over Rousillion here. And would Ferdinand have any interest in Italy (even without the Italian War)? And he's still king of Aragon. The barbary piracy are gonna perhaps more Juan's troubles. Were there lot of piracy at the coast of Aragon? 🤔
