Oh, I almost forgot.
BUMP.
If it isn't too much asking, Electric Monk, how's the next post coming?
Also, how'll the deeper integration of Canada in the huge British Empire affect the US-Canadian relations and immigration to Canada?
Ah yes. Because I am an idiot I failed to mention in this timeline my computer went kurfluee. So when I have the money to fix it my days off are going to be dumped into updating this and my pop culture timeline (read it!) aside from girlfriend time.
As for my home and native land of Canada (which is awesome, but feel free to to tell me of political campaign firms that'll hire Canadians because starting my own is taking forever) immigration there has increased empire flavour. Note that "free movement" was part of the (white) Empire as a racist move which I mentioned a while ago to prevent the "other" parts of the Empire joining in in the short term. Travel is a huge part of the future timeline.
As for American relationships they are not wild about it but the OTL de facto Canadians=British ideas are winning. Furthermore the new growth in eastern Canadian ports (hi Halifax) is having decent knock-on effects in New England. As long as the USA avoids war it's viewed ok. A little realpolitik "darn Brits" but not much.
Having (very) recently spoken with Electric Monk on this very subject, I can unfortunately say that his computer was deemed beyond repair and now he's looking for a new one - which is why he's been posting so infrequently on the board in general. If anyone knows of a good deal for one, I'm sure he'd appreciate if you would send it his wayBumping this to know if your computer got fixed. Luckily this TL is really good and detailed so waiting is ok, especially because future updates involving the British Federal-esque Empire will be very interesting.
