The Fourteenth Colony?

We all (I presume;)) know 13 Colonies formed the U.S. So what is the maximum number there could have been? Could they have included, say, Quebec? Bermuda? Nova Scotia?

Those plus: East Florida, West Florida and the Bahamas, along with Vermont.

All three are possibilities a little more luck and Canada could have been captured as well as Fort Cumberland in Nova Scotia. Bermuda was nearly captured in 1779 by American privateers. The Bahamas were captured briefly in 1776. I like the idea of the Americans writing into the Treaty of Alliance with France American claims to British Caribbean colonies(which in OTL were sympathetic to the Americans) many of which were occupied by France.

I didn't mean literally. Westsylvania would be my second favorite.

I understand now. Perhaps the lands west of the Proclamation of 1763 line should be left out of the discussion as there were several unresolved and overlaping land claims over the lands west of it by the colonies to its east. I'm sure that Virginia would voice some objections to the establishment of Transylvania and Vandalia/Westsylvania in 9 out of every 10 TLs. Similarly, I thought about "Maine" and "New Brunswick" but discounted those because of the likely objections of Massachusetts and Nova Scotia. "Ontario" is in this catagory as well I suppose.
