POD:Charles "The young pretender" recovers from Alcohalism in Early September of 1759.
Late 1759
September 3:Charles recovers from Alcohalism, and realizing the French Invasion of Great Britian had not yet taken place, decided to convince the French to incoporate him back into the plan after his bad impression 6 months earlier.
September 5:Charles meets with Duc de Choisuel, the French forigen minister. Charles made a very good impression, and was allowed to reenter the plan by Choisuel, who informed him that he would need to contact duc d'Aiguillon who was now in Vannes. Before he set off, Charles sent word to his father, asking for him to lead the Rebellion in his name.
September 19:James III reluctantly approves his son's plan to lead another Rebellion, almost certian he will fail.
October 3:Charles recieves word of his Fathers approval and sets off from Paris to Vannes.
October 14:Charles arrives in Vannes and meets with French Commanders duc d'Aiguillon and Comte de Conflans to assure them of Jacobite support. Charles seeks to immediatly invade Great Britian, but is disappointed when he learns that French Fleet is bottled up. Right before Charles is about to sleep, he prays to God for a miracle, and he would not be dissappointed.
October 15:A violent storm [1] smashes the coasts of the French Atlantic Coasts, and scatters the British Fleet blockading the French Atlantic ports. Charles claimed that God intended for them to invade. Comte began preparing his fleet for action, and d'Aiguillion began marching his troops to Brest.
October 17:After two days of constant marching, the French Army of about 23,000 arrives in Brest. They soon board there Transport ships in less than 9 minutes, which astonishes Charles.
October 18:Other French fleets all begin to sail to Le Harve, to assist in the second crossing to be launched from there.
October 20:When the British Fleets return to blockade the French ports they find them empty. The blockades on all French ports are ended to begin a frantic search for the French Invasion Fleet.
October 21:A diversion of about 5 privateer ships from Dunkirk attracks the attention of many British ships, and lures a few of them away from the Channel.
October 22:More operations simmilar to those at Dunkirk occur to lure more British vessels away from the main French force, The French Invasion Fleet narrowly avoids disaster when a Merchant Vessel spotted them. Comte quickly ordered all French ships raise British Colors. the Merchant Vessel was fooled, and soon left sight of the Invasion Fleet.
October 23:The French Invasion fleet lands on the ( upper ) Firth of Clyde. Under the leadership of Charles and d'Aiguillion the City of Dumbarton is immediatly besieged. Soon, a few Jacobite supporters, who supported the 1745 invasion and currently lived in Dumbarton, inside the city open it up to the French Army. News of the Capture of Dumbarton (1759) spreads like wildfire, and prompts a massive uprising of Jacobites in the Highlands of Scotland.
