The fate of Zionism if Theodore Herzl dies young?

What would the fate of Zionism be if Theodore Herzl had died young?

Would someone else have simply taken his place? Or would alternate Zionist locations be more popular in this TL?

Any thoughts on this?

Also, how crucial do you think that Mr. Herzl was to the relative popularity of Zionism in the several decades before 1933?

Any thoughts on this?

I really don't know much about the zionist movement before Herzl...you may have to do a bit of research regarding Zionism prior to the 1890's to see what, if any roots there were of the movement.
Sorry that I can't be much of a help in this regard :frown:. Joho
