What would Asia look like in a Cp victory? The USA never enters the war, the Spring offensive is more successful, and the German navy is able to score some (minor) victories against the Royal Navy by being slightly more aggressive. During negotiations, would it be possible for Germany to get it's possessions back from New Zealand and Australia by agreeing to pay a certain amount of money agreed to by both parties? And would it be realistic for Germany to get it's possessions back from Japan for a deal that would be a semi German-Japanese alliance? The deal that I think the Germans could make would be the return of their colonies in return for a small amount of money to be paid, similar to the deals with Australia and New Zealand for the return of colonies, recognition and support of Japanese aims in China, the transfer of former Russian leased territories in China to Japan(since Russia would be in a civil war), support from Germany in Japan's expedition in Russia(probably not actual military or economic support, but diplomatic). Is this a realistic deal? This would obviously piss off Britain and the US, but it's beneficial to Japan. While Britain only had an alliance with Japan to counter Russia, they frowned upon their 21 demands to China and the US frowned upon the Japanese expedition to Siberia after everyone else pulled out so why should Japan remain so close to Britain and the Entente if they just hinder Japan's plans? Thus, Japan would have little reason not to accept, except for angering the Entente but they could just remain friendly. Would there be a nominally independent Japanese backed Siberian buffer state? Would it be everything past Lake Baikal or just the Russian Maritime province? Maybe the northern half of Sakhalin gets annexed? What would happen to China(other than being pissed at Japan for taking Russian leased territory and Germany for backing them)? I know Japan backed some Chinese warlords, but I'm unaware of the effect this had in China, so how did this backing affect china OTL (were they Japanese Vassals, protectorates, puppets or simply backed?) and how would it affect it ITTL? Would Mongolia be affected? Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
