The extinction of the Braganzas in 1687. Who becomes king of Portugal?

In 1687 the Braganzas were near to extinction. The king Peter II, who deposed his brother Afonso VI, had just one daughter, Isabel Luísa, whose health wasn't good. His deposed brother had no children, neither his sister Catherine (who was the widow of Charles II of England and Scotland). So, he married again, this time with Maria Sofia of Neuburg, and saved the dinasty having 06 children who survived childhood.
But WI Peter II had before before his second marriage? Isabel becomes queen, but his health was very fragile (and this was the reason why no prince in Europe wanted to marry her). If she still dies in 1690 then the throne goes to Catharine, who also didn't have children. Supposing that Catherine still dies in 1705 as IOTL, who would be her successor?

Well none of John IV's (Pedro II's father) brothers had any issue. Looking to Pedro II's granfather, Duke Teodosio II of Braganza, his next in line brother Duarte de Portugal, Marques de Flexilla did have issue.

In 1705 the heir looks to be Emanuel Joachim Garcia, Marques de Flexilla y Xarandilla, was living in Barcelona. He might have been currently surving as Prime Minister of Spain...which might not be good from the Portuguese perspective. Emanuel had a son Pedro Vicente as well.

Emanuel Joachim Garcia (1642-1707)
Pedro Vicente (1686-1746)

I don't have time to look for potential heirs living in Portugal at the moment, I might add something later.

Nice! So, the legal line of succession would be Catherine - Emanuel - Pedro. But IOTL Peter II had a illegitimate daughter - Luisa of Braganza - born in 1679. She married in 1695 the Duke of Cadaval, Luis Ambrosio Alvares Pereira de Melo (1679 - 1700) and after him she married his brother, Jaime Alvares Pereira de Melo (1684-1749).
Of course, as the succession issue would be very clear around 1690 she would probably not marry the Duke of Cadaval. I imagine queen Catherine trying to make a deal with the Spanish: Emanuel becomes the next king, but Pedro Vicente must marry Luisa (who was legitimated IOTL in 1691, and probably ITTL it would happen even sooner).
Luisa would be seven years older than Pedro, but IOTL he married Maria de La Encarnacion Fernandez de Cordoba, who was six years older than he, so probably it would not be a problem for him. But this arrangement would surely cause problems in the future: IOTL Luisa had no issue from her two husbands, and so we might assume she was infertile. So, it would not solve the dinastical problem of Portugal but delay it for two or three decades later.
Also, it would be interesting to imagine the consequences of this in the Spanish Succession War. IOTL Emanuel supported the Bavarian candidate for the Spanish throne, and after his death he supported the Archduke Charles.
