The Empire Parnell Built

Who were CoOperatives? Somebody left-wing?
IRL they are a party in the UK in an alliance with Labour and the SDLP who promote the formation of workers co-operatives which are businesses owned and self-managed by the workers and the issues that co-operatives face.

Right, sorry, wrong co-operative party. Yes, the British Co-op is basically the OTL group but with their founding butterflied a few years earlier. TTL their emphasis on education, independence and worker self-management is going to provide an internal foil to the bourgeois socialism of the Radicals and the trades union machine of Labour.

Wasn't Plunkett an anti-independence but pro-devolved government guy? He was of Anglo-Itish noble origins.
Yes, he was a moderate unionist (specifically anti-partition) OTL. TTL the home rule question was put to bed in the 1880s by legislative independence and formal independence (within the context of membership of the Empire) was really just a formality by 1922, even if some members of the ILPU did protest. I think a figure like Plunkett - a veteran figure with aristocratic roots but a track record of fighting for the “ordinary person” - would make a good person to lead TTL Ireland’s main left wing party.

He was a moderate unionist until the Irish Council Bill of 1907 failed and then became a Home Ruler but was still anti-partition.

........Vesins was a legitimist though. He is not going to support the orleanists. He only kept up that pretense to due to his party being mostly orleanists. During the Catholic dissociation iotl he was prolific in trying to get the legitimate power to rise in the action francaise.

The idea here is that a realistic return to power has focused minds somewhat.

Would, some day, the socialists realize that going just for the House of Representatives is not enough? In that case, would it matter?
