I don't think so : most Gallo-Romance rulers would probably acknowledge Anthemius as they did IOTL, but you had too much of a mutual defiance IMO. Burgundians, and especially Gondoic, would inherit a good part of Ricimer's network and might be the immediate Barbarian beneficiary of the situation. This would happen after the failure of the African expedition. Assuming that a victory at Déols lead to Ricimer’s death and to a crisis inside the gothic kingdom, would it be feasible for Anthemius to attempt a partial recovery of Gaul.
Maintaining imperial authority in Arles, possibly recovering Narbonne IMO, and connecting with Hispano-Romance ensemble not yet under Suevi or Gothic dominance. Assuming this army is gathered as it was IOTL without Euric's advance in Gaul.An imperial army led by Anthemiolus was defeated by Euric after Déols, but without the gothic king, what would this army be able to accomplish?
Roughly similar to what happens in Gaul , with Vicentius having a similar role in eastern peninsula than Aegidius in northern Gaul.I am also thinking about the fact that Spain was not entirely subjected to the Goths by this time, so what are the limits and the possibilities of the empire here?
Burgundians, Vandals and italo-Romans elites, probably Suevi eventually if they manage to get most of Spain. After the Goths what is the next threat ( internal and external) that Anthemius should face?
Very roughly, something like this (red direct imperial control, orange largely autonomous regions still acknowledging a broad imperial allegiance (note that Burgundians and Suevi would likely do so as well, but exception made of Goths, I wouldn't see it being more than largely nominal if not hostile to Anthemius)
