The Effect of A Stronger Africa on Human History

I'm going to have to repeat myself it seems - the winds move southwest at that latitude and the Ennedi is high, a larger Chad will make Nigeria and Mali wetter, not southern egypt.

In prehistoric times the world was warmer - it was that extra energy and sea evaporation as well as different winds globally that made the eastern Sahara wetter, adding a Chad sea with duplicating those global effects will not make East Africa any wetter.

I believe a lake like this was part of Philip Jose Farmers Opar prehistory.

Anyway, it is easy to forget how enormous Africa is. The depicted lake is very nearly the size of the mediterranean, and would probably have an equally complex history.
