The Curse of Eisenhower!

"The 22nd Amendment passed under Eisenhower limits a president to two terms, it perhaps the single most useless Amendment to the American Constitution, as no president since Eisenhower has served the full two terms allowed them."

Dwight D. Eisenhower: In office 1953-1961

Lyndon B. Johnson: In office 1963-1969 (did not seek re-election)
Richard M. Nixon: In office 1969-1974 (resigned)
Gerald R. Ford: In office 1974-1977 (was not re-elected)
James E. Carter: in office 1977-1981 (was not re-elected)
Ronald W. Reagan: in office 1981 (assassinated)*
George H.W. Bush: in office 1981-1984 (was not relected)
Edward M. Kennedy: in office 1984-1986 (died in office of brain cancer)

*POD
Need help to continue this to modern day, who would Ted Kennedy's running mate have been? Preferably someone who
A. Stands little chance of Re-election
B. would have died in office.
or
C. would be involved in a massive scandal thus being impeached, or forced to resign.

Hmmm. Perhaps you should have put FOR invading Iraq? (In OTL, Clinton was a supporter of OIF. Further, Clinton was in office when the first reports came through that Iraq did not have WMD...)
