In 1947 the grandson of the king Gustav V, Gustaf Adolf, heir presumptive, died in a planecrash at Copenhagen airport. But what if he didnt. This is my timeline
-----------------------------------
Gerrit Johannis Geysendorffer, captain on the DC 3 that was to fly to Stockholm was to take off when he realised something. The rudder was still locked. He stopped the flight before take off and the rudder was loosened.
A few hours later Gustaf Adolf was reunuited with his family at Haga castle not knowing how near he had come to dying.
Gustaf and Sibylla continued their marriage but didnt need to produce any more children since Carl-Gustav had come.
In 1950 Gustav V died. Gustav VI Adolf became king. Bertil and Lillian were at last free to marry and did so in 1951. Bertil lost his princetitle but got Lilian. They would get two children. Johan Bernadotte and Alice Bernadotte.
With his father present Carl-Gustav dont get the same protective upbringing as he did OTL.
In 1966 Gustav VI Adolf died of a heartattack. He didnt need to fight to stay healthy until 73 in this TL. Gustav becomes Gustav VII Adolf.
Gustav VII Adolf had modernised the court and when the discussions started for a new constitution there was more resistance against some of the more republican ideas and the court succeded in not loosing to much influence. The swedish constitution of the Royal familys situation was wery similiar to the one UK have. The change that was made was that the firstborn would inherit the throne, no matter the gender and that only decendans to the crownprince would be eligle for the throne.
What would happen after 72, would the king tell his son to not marry Silvia if they met or would he accept her?
