interesting, so he got into that parisian art school.

Is there a world war 2 then?
Nope. Although the Pacific theatre still happens and Italy commits some less than nice things in Africa Germany doesn't go Batshit with Fascists. Hitler used his Personality to his advantage and took it to power. There are still Nationalist Populist parties do gain some influence they don't gain power. Communists are still a thing that Germany struggled with for a while though. Also because no Holocaust there is still a sizable Jewish population in Europe. Idk if this is still related or not but the Soviet Union collapses a lot earlier too in 1979.

As for Hitler he ran away from his Army services with a French Woman during the war and had a child with her. He officially became French in 1919 and pursued his art. He had one son and stayed a small artist for much of his life. He was also involved in the Democratic Alliance party in France as he was much much much more moderate than otl because of his better fate.

2012 US Presidential Election
The 2012 US Presidential election was held on the 3rd of November 2012 for the office of President of the United States

The 2008 election saw the convincing re-election of President Mitt Romney. Romney's second term was marked by the end of the Assyrian-Iranian war which had been raging on since the 1990s inspired by Iran's radical government which had overthrown a stable monarch for a Radical Islamic government in 1979 under the watch of Romney's father, George. An International Coalition directly invaded Iran and Captured plans of Nuclear Weapons from the government. The US Triumphed by capturing Irans Grand Ayatollah seeking refuge in Afghanistan. Irans Military dictatorship was replaced by a Constitutional Monarchy with Reza Pahlavi as Shah. Because of this success President, Rommneys Approval ratings were sky high during the end of his term. However, the more Conservative wings of the Union party were not happy with the Presidents Relaxed views on Immigration, Social issues and Increasing Globalisation. Romney announced Early that he would not seek a third term which sparked the start of a large primary for Union.

The Union Presidential primary had an Incredible Amount of candidates including but not limited to, Representative Newt Gingrich of Georgia, Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, Representative Charlie Christ of Virginia, Representative Bob Riley of Yazoo, Representative Peter King of Long Island, Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey, Representative Hayley Barbour of Yazoo,Governor Jim Gilmore of Virginia,Senator Bob Corker of Tennesee, Governor George Pataki of New Amsterdam, Businessman Herman Cain of Georgia, Actor Fred Karger of Illinois and Ambassador John Bolton. With such a crowded primary and with most candidates polling close to each other with each of them at less than 15%. For an amount of time, there was no apparent frontrunner most pundits agreed that it would take until the first primary state, Missouri, for a frontrunner to be determined. The Missouri Primary put Greater New York Mayor Rudy Guliani of New Amsterdam in the frontrunner position.

Labor wasn't a perfect party though and still had direction issues with candidates divided by Progressive and Moderate Views. The main candidates were: Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana, The son of president Birch Bayh was widely called the Frontrunner who received support from Former President Bayh and Hart. Governor Howard Dean of Vermont, The progressive governor of the traditionally Union state of Vermont lead the more Left-Wing part of the Labor party. The Third main candidate was Freshman Senator Claire McCaskill of Louis, who wasn't expected to run but captured attention for being unconventional and running without experience.

After a close final race between Guliani and Bob Corker, the Union Convention became brokered and there was no certainty going into the Union convention in Detroit. The Nomination for president took no less than 15 rounds of voting which spanned 2 days before Rudy Guliani was officially announced the victor of the Convention. As Part of an agreement for Gingrich Delegates to vote for Gulliani, Newt Gingrich was selected as Vice President. Because of Such a Chaotic convention, the common post-convention boost in the polls did not appear very large for Union.

The primaries were a shock as Claire McCaskill evened in the polls with Dean and Bayh. Eventually though after a gaffe-ridden campaign Dean was pushed to drop out. McCaskill took an advantage ahead of Bayh eventually and going into the convention Claire McCaskill had more delegates than Evan Bayh. Labor also entered a brokered convention in Cincinnati but after only one round due to delegates switching their allegiances shockingly Claire McCaskill won the Nomination. McCaskill picked North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan as her running mate becoming the first Woman-Woman ticket since the Union ticket of 2000 with Elizabeth Dole and Connie Morella.

The Campaign was in favour of Mrs McCaskill who maintained a lead throughout the early campaign. The First debate was surprisingly close with Rudy Gulliani staying calm and collected which made the polls close. The second debate, however, a heated debate over foreign policy saw Guiliani start a heated argument between the two which ended in him walking off the stage while yelling at his opponent which left McCaskill and Moderator Candy Crowley in shock with no option but to end the debate. The performance left Rudy Guliani trailing almost 20% in the polls and pulling out of the third debate. The Guliani campaign quickly tried to salvage the campaign with the Vice Presidential debate and with Rudy Guliani appearing much calmer on the campaign. Eventually, McCaskill's lead stabilised around 12% in the polls.

Come election night it was clear early on that Mccaskill was on the path to victory with McCaskill winning the east coast. And McCaskill even winning the normally Union state of Vermont McCaskill was declared victorious at 8:37 pm which is historically early. Gullianis concession came quick and President Romney officially handed over the reigns to McCaskill on the 20th of January.

2016 Chinese Election
After staring at a ridiculous amount of spreadsheets and a doing a stupid amount of calculations I have finally finished my latest election for a pretty damn crucial country

The 2016 Chinese election took place from the 7th of November 2016 to the 27th of November 2016 to elect members to the Legislative Yuan to elect a premier and president for a 4-year term

Lam Cheng and her Chinese National Democratic Party won the 2012 election by a wide margin with the Centre-Right Blue Alliance holding a 30 seat majority in the Yuan against the Chinese Social Democratic Paty which plummeted in seat count after their 8 Year Term under Wen Jiabao as premier. Lam became the first female Premier of China since Soong Ching Ling in the 70s after the democratization of China in 1972. She was previously the Vice Premier of Guangdong before entering Nationwide politics. She attracted controversy from Hong Kong, her home city after she Mandarin-ised her name for National Politics.

The new government elected Ma Jing-
Yeou as president with the support of the Alliance consisting of the CNDP, The socially moderate National Union of Democrats and the More Right-Wing New Kuomintang. The government attempted to improve relations with Mongolia whose relations had soured after some hostile relations towards Russia from the previous government. The government needed to secure the water source coming from Mongolia. Drought and water shortages had been a large problem for national security. The government sacrificed funding for Environmental projects to spend on military to "secure chinas diplomatic position" which caught wide criticism from the Orange Alliance considering Chinas position as the largest polluter and in the midst of what has been dubbed the "Waste Wars".

The CNDP lost popularity as their margin in the polls went from +10% to +4%. The government scrambled to save their popularity but after the Guangdong general election, there was rising dissent from Hong Kong after the government officially taking away their status of an Autonomous Municipality which allowed them to have a high level of autonomy free from central laws. Premier Lam refused any questions on the topic of Hong Kong possibly regaining the status of autonomous municipality

China attended the 2015 Danzig climate summit and had a large amount of pressure to lower its carbon emissions the most. But Internal divisions in the Blue Alliance with the New Kuomintang refusing any agreement on lowering carbon emissions calling it "unfair to Chinas growth." The
obstruction from the Kuomintang fueled the CSDPs rise in the polls along with the Socially Left and Ecologist Progressive National Construction Party.

On the run-up to the 2016 election, the Government was in a position in the polls to lose government to the Social Democrats. The campaign offically started 2 months before the voting period on the 7th of September when advertisements were officially allowed to be broadcast and billboards were erected. Nothing about the campaign was small for China, The centrist-populist
China Dream party controversially flew blimps with election campaign posters on the side of them flew above major Chinese cities it is estimated over 50 Billion Flyers were delivered to Chinese homes during the course of the election.

The CSDP focused on gaining the support of the East Coast which is traditionally Right Leaning by spending large amounts of Money in Shanghai, Shangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang in an attempt to get enough seats to push the Orange Alliance near a majority. An issue for the two main Coalition was the attempted avoidance of the China Dream Party which made inroads into Chinese cities pulling off both parties which suggested by most forecasts that the CSDP had to include the China dream to get the extra few hundred seats after the peak of the SDPs polling.

There were 4 debates between Lam Cheng and Li Kequiang which made history by the Chinese National Broadcasting Network streaming the Debates on Youtube indicating the gradual use of the internet in China. Lam Cheng was widely regarded as the winner of the debates which brang down the SDPs lead in the polls while China Dream became more and more likely to become the kingmaker in Government.

Between the smaller parties there was a lot of negative campaigning with the New Kuomintang harshly attacking the Orange Alliance calling the PNCP's plan to have a vote on same-sex marriage in the Yuan "An attack on every Chinese value." and calling the New Constitution Party a "Party of anarchists"

One of the biggest issues of the campaign was the extreme amount of pollution in Chinese cities with China facing a crisis of non-drinkable tapwater and smog being so bad in some cities that it is almost 40 times over the safe limit. The Progressive National Construction Party proposed the idea of "Water Cleansing" plants on the coast of China that would get rid of the pollutants and desalinate the ocean water. The project was estimated to cost around 80 Billion US Dollars and would provide China with around 8% more safe drinking water. The Project gained attention from other parties some even adopted the idea on a smaller scale.

Voting started on the 7th of November and lasted almost 3 weeks until the 27th of November. The polls closed at 9 pm Across each of the 3 time zones of China. Chinese election coverage lasts for 3 days as the ballots are fully counted and final results are released approximately 4 days after the polls were closed. Although the CSDP took an early lead the CNDP managed to perform better and actually won the popular vote surprisingly and had the highest amount of seats. But it was clear early on that either party could win if they went through the China Dream party and put up with any demands they may make.

Coalition discussions took exactly month between both alliances but the final decision was made public on the 1st of January in a press conference by Liannouncinganouncing he would be part of a government led by the Social Democrats and that he would be Vice Premier in excahnge for joining the Orange Alliance for one term. The Government would be comprised of the Social Democrats, China Dream, The Progressive National Construction Party, The New Constitution Party, The Chinese Socialist Party and the Manchu Peoples Party who had joined in exchange for a referendum on a devolved Yuan in the 3 provinces that make up Chinese Manchuria. Altogether the government had slim a majority of 20 in the over 3000 seat body.

Li Kequiang Was Officially Elected Chinese Premier by the Legislative Yuan 1601-1423 on the 12th of January 2017 and Zhang Gaoli was elected President the day after.

I mean, on one hand, I really don't like the fact the Liberals have held on... But on the other, Humza Yousaf as my MP? Not bad...
Held on to opposition? It would take a bit more of a swing from Labour to unseat them as the opposition but until then the Liberals will stay in opposition. In all truth, my British Freind suggested to have Humza Yousaf as SNP leader and I picked West Dunbartonshire out of the blue.

Oh, I mean in general - holding on as the main alternative to the Tories.
