Not sure whether this warrants a Thread on its own or not. A successful Gallipoli would mean a whole host of butterflies (such as Churchill's own reputation).

If the allies could knock Turkey out of the war in 1915 or 1916, would this have prevented the Russian Revolution or compelled Vienna to sue for peace after the death of Franz Josef. Would the Germans have to send troops to Serbia and Bosnia and would this have changed Verdun or the Somme ?

Plenty to discuss and I've not really thought this through I'm certain. The long term effects of a victorious Russian Empire controlling Constantinople/Istanbul and the Dardanelles are significant.
