The Challenge of TODAY!

Here is a contemporary thought:

AHs related to the current economic world situation.

As someone who has been gainfully unemployed for WAYYYYY too long, I would love to see what some of the alternatives this august body can develop for where we are now are.

Please be sure to include the US banking system and Wall Street in the mix.

Please limit PODs to post WWII

:)

Thanks, I feel welcome here.

Just to clarify, does an ATL need to be at a particular temporal distance?

Is there a standard guideline between Chat and PODs, I'm new, Forgive me.

I think this belongs here. He's asking for POD so the most recent downturn does not happen. Maybe take Greenspan out of such a position? Nonregulation needs to be reversed somehow.

Oh, I see. Apologies. I read the OP too quickly.

Nonregulation needs to be reversed somehow.

You need the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1998 to be butterflied away somehow. IOTL, it passed with large majorities and wasn't even considered a major piece of legislation (though we can now see that it was the critical factor in bringing on the crisis).

Perhaps consumer groups aren't asleep at the wheel and raise holy hell about it. Perhaps Senator Grahm is caught in a massive scandal and his pet legislation gets put on the backburner.

That meeting in the US where they let the banks self-regulate. Those short-sighted, amoral whores couldn't regulate the pulling of their own dicks if they turned black and started to disintegrate. In fact they'd pull faster to get those last few strokes in while the opportunity existed, before the dick disintegrated.
