well, why would that be the case? did the mongols and kublai khan actually expand/rule BECAUSE of gunpowder? if so, how did i miss that in my research?
I don't know tbh, but the answer is yes. Gunpowder was used both in limited siege roles and in a sort of proto-shot and sword roles in the form of the firelance. The Yuan Dynasty was also the first to have handcannons iirc.

...well yes... the standards of warfare that proceeded them were of course part of what led to their successes.
Ok... then i will have to cancel this timeline. i will leave what i did until now though, and feel free to discuss what you think would have happened. i will probably start working on a timeline in a period i am more familiar with soon, but no promises.
