Might be interesting to create an associated game with the US military thinking about doing a coup since all these three candidates are, to be honest, utterly insane.
While most mods are still of US presidential elections, the ability to add your own map into the code has allowed for the creation of statewide and international mods, with six currently on the loader. Decided to give my thoughts on each of them in case anyone is interested, will try to avoid spoilers but will mark them just in case.

Technically an international mod since Texas was an international nation at the time, this mod is fairly short and simple at 15 questions and no visits, with Stephen Austin as the only playable candidate and needing to defeat Henry Smith, Branch Archer, and a draft campaign for Sam Houston. The mod is heavily dependent on RNG, and admittedly not as interesting as some of the other mods on this list, but in its defense it is a relatively older mod and is still educational.
A mod where you play as the literal Nazis must be handled very delicately, especially given other controversies over other mods that I will not go into here. However, the general consensus is that this mod handled it very well, allowing the player to see how Hitler and his party were able to become the second largest party in Reichstag through a campaign of hatred and terror, paving the way for their seizure of power three years later, and making no mistake as to the evil of their ideology without turning it into a crude caricature or whitewashing it. While the other parties are unfortunately not playable, there is still the option to self-sabotage the NSDAP if the player so chooses, and various endings are possible based on how well the party does. Ultimately, the creator and NCT site devs agreed not to put the mod on the loader due to concerns about German law, but it is still playable via the codes on Reddit.
The newest mod in this list, this mod incorporates many of the newer features on the NCT site, including a playlist of Korean songs to listen to while you play and custom endings based on your result(plus a few meme endings if you select certain answers along the way). You can play as Park Chung Hee, the right-wing military strongman who would rewrite the country's constitution just a year after his OTL victory to secure his regime, or try to save Korean democracy as Kim Dae-jung, who starts off in the lead but sees it quickly narrow over the course of the campaign. I personally played as Kim first, which I would recommend as playing Park first may inadvertently spoil some of the dirty tricks he will throw your way over the course of the election. One thing I will say is that the writing for the answers in this mod is a bit long, but you do get a lot of historical context. It's fairly easy to win as Park, but less so for Kim the first time you play as him.
The first "true" international mod, this mod explores Italian politics during the height of the Years of Lead. The ruling Christian Democracy, the Italian Communist Party, which saw them achieve their best ever and win over a third of seats in parliament in OTL's election, and the center-left Italian Socialist Party are all playable. This mod may admittedly be bit difficult the first time to those who, like me, do not know much about 1970s Italian politics, however, playing it a few times until you are able to do as well or even surpass the OTL results of each party is a fun challenge, and you can learn quite a bit about the setting along the way.
While this mod chronically takes place after 1971 Korea, it was released earlier, so it plays more like a traditional Campaign Trail mod rather than having all the custom endings and music that the other mod does. IOTL, this election was fairly close, and you can play as Park Geun-hye(which I believe makes the Parks the first playable father-daughter duo on NCT), or Moon Jae-in, with Park being a bit easier to win as.
This mod is pretty self-explanatory, I think.
The only international alternate history, or rather, alternate future mod so far, this mod speculates on what the next Dutch general election might look like. You can play as the conservative liberal VVD and give Prime Minister Mark Rutte another term(or have him step down in favor of Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius), the agrarian BBB, LinksOm(an electoral alliance between the social democratic Labour Party and green GroenLinks), a Christian democratic independent list led by ex-CDA member Pieter Omtzigt, the social liberal D66, and the right-wing populist PVV. Each are able to become the largest party if you play your cards right(though it is harder with D66 and PVV), and if you do there is an extra mechanic post-game to decide which parties you want to form a governing coalition with(except PVV which must deal with a cordon sanitaire), with various endings based on your choice, making this mod very replayable, especially since different answers may affect the performance of other parties as well. This mod also introduced its own special code for the proportional d'Hondt system that I believe 1930 Weimar also uses.

It might be among the few mods where the authors have to plan paths 'for "self-sabotage."

I got the Eternal President Wallace ending. Truly nightmarish.
How do you get this ending?, I'm trying but the most I got was other endings like Humprey president, MacGovern president,Schlafly president and the Watchmen ending, however this Mod is really fantastic, one of the best, I would like to see more Mods like this with so many details in the endings depending on the choice.
I went all-in on Vietnam, and self-sabotaged myself. I can't really recall more specifics than that.
you escalate in Vietnam, don´t reach out to China, don´t interfere in the Dem nomination, still hush up Watergate and finally lose against Wallace.
