The British colonizes all of the Americas

What if the reconquista takes another hundred years for whatever reason, leaving Britain to discover the Americas sometimes around 1500. What will be the result of a wholly British South- and North America?

Well, the Spanish got there first IOTL and they didn't get the whole thing, not by a long shot...

How is Britain formed pre-1500?

Butterflies eat Scotland - it's not too implausible, even if English control is going to be shaky for a while and in places. (Alternately, Stuart-esque dynastic union a century early; it's more likely to be called Britain that way anyhow, rather than the Kingdom of England (writ large).)

The Yorkists win the Wars of the Roses and Richard III remains King. Richard was a lot better King than the Tudor propagandist Shakespeare painted him to be. Perhaps he avoids the internal turmoil of the Tudors amd fosters the English mercantile economy. By the 1400s English trade (from Bristol) with Iceland was considerable IOTL. If English traders heard about the rich Cod fishery west of Greenland from the Icelanders, Bristol merchants might well have sent some explorers to investigate. If the Spaniards were tied up until say 1592 with the Moors and the French with dynastic struggles, the English would have a full century to explore down the American coast. Eventually they wiil become aware of the gold to be had in Aztec Mexico and the race would be on to conquer North and South Ricardia.:D

What about the French? The settled and discovered a good amount of North America, only to have it taken away.

Do you mean have the British be the First people to colonize both North and South America or be the ones that own it at the end of the day?

I would agree that this is highly implausible. The French had a very good run in colonizing the Americas, along with the Russians, and the Dutch certainly were also definitely working. Beyond that, the Swedish and Danish also certainly had a shot, and theres no reason to presume that even a Portugal where the reconquista never happens wouldn't have an interest in the Americas.

Even if we somehow managed to get all of those out of the picture, we're still left with the problem of actually getting Britain to conquer all of the Americas. The Spanish had to go through a lot of implausible stuff just to get as far as they did, as did each of the other powers. The Natives aren't simply going to roll over in the face of British aggression. I highly doubt that Britain had the resources or will to conquer all of the Americas. Even with all of the 500 years you've given them, it would be a huge challenge. I just don't think this scenario is plausible.

So the problem is a lack of resources. Well that's easy. All you need is a union between the United Kingdom and any other country. That's not that far off with royalty.
