[FONT="]Casimir III and Judith of Bohemia[/FONT]
[FONT="]Casimir(Kazimierz) III of Poland had been bethroted to Judith(Jutta) of Bohemia(Known as Judyta Luksemburska in Poland) in order to end the rivalry between Bohemia and Poland and the claim of the Luxembourgs to the Polish throne and it was believed that the future marriage will guarantee peace between Poland and Bohemia, Poland was struggling to recover Pomerelia and Lubusz land which were really Polish lands but were stolen by Brandenburg and the Teutonic Order and also the Silesian Piasts are moving towards Bohemia.[/FONT]
[FONT="]In 1325 Casimir III thought about abandoning plans of marrying Judith of Bohemia and marrying Aldona of Lithuania in order to end the Lithuanian incursions in the Polish territory but suddenly he realized that peace with another christian nation is important than an alliance with a pagan nation and they did not want more trouble with the Teutonic order and he wanted to secure his legitimacy and strengthen his own dynasty in Poland and end the rivalry between the Luxembourgs and the Piasts and end the discord between Poland and Bohemia which resulted from the Bohemian claim to the Polish throne so he decided to continue his own plans to marry Judith of Bohemia and not abandon this plan in marrying Judith of Bohemia, the option to marry Aldona was not known by the people and the plan to marry Judith of Bohemia was known that is why Casimir III’s option to marry Aldona was not even known and it was known that Casimir III of Poland had only wanted to marry Judith of Bohemia and his thoughts of marrying Aldona and an Lithuanian alliance were never known by people and the future generations .[/FONT]
[FONT="]Judith of Bohemia was sent to Poland in 1327, in order for her to see Casimir III and to make her know him well and to learn his own culture and language, when she finally met Casimir III in his own Palace in Krakow, she first felt uneasy at first because she is meeting someone that she does not know and that she is still a child that needed to be cared of, but later she later became accustomed to him and she became comfortable with him, she was happy that her future husband was nice and will care for her, she became secured of her own future as the queen of Poland, she was loved by the people in Poland because of her own kind nature.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Casimir and Judith were finally married in December 5,1327, she looked forward to be the Queen of Poland, Judith of Bohemia will be known as a great mother and a great Queen in Poland and he could not ask for more because Judith of Bohemia was a good woman and a good wife and John of Bohemia gave his rights to the Polish throne to his son in law, Casimir III after the marriage, this marriage ended the strife between Poland and Bohemia and made the relationship between the two royal families, the Luxembourgs and the Piasts better and also made the relationship between Poland and Bohemia better, she bring with her her Czech advisers and who advised Casimir III which made the relations between Poland and Bohemia better than before.[/FONT]
[FONT="]When Judith of Bohemia came to visit her parents in Bohemia in 1329, the Queen of Poland told her father, King John I of Bohemia about King Casimir III of Poland and how well he treated her.[/FONT]
[FONT="] Judith of Bohemia gave birth to a son who she named Przemysl in October 2,1332 in Krakow, Judith of Bohemia was happy in the birth of Przemysl, Casimir III was also present in the birth of Przemysl and he was delighted in the birth of a male heir in the few years after his own birth in June 5, 1335, Judith of Bohemia gave birth to a daughter named Elisabeth and later another son was born in October 4, 1340 named Casimir, in 1345, Casimir would become the duke of Duke of Kuyavia, he will be known as a progenitor of a noble family named Kujavski which ruled Kuyavia, the two had some sibling rivalry due to Przemysl being the heir to the throne and Casimir being the second child and only a prince and duke in Poland.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Casimir III warred with the Teutonic Order in order to regain Pomerelia and Kuyavia in 1334 and he was aided by his father in law, John of Bohemia in the war this became known as the Pomerelian war the Polish and Bohemian troops outnumbered the Teutonic Knights and Occupied the lands of the Teutonic Order and later John XXI came in order to resolve the controversy of the stolen lands from Poland by the Teutonic Order by being a negotiator to the two warring polities this resulted in the treaty of Gniezno in 1335 which restored Pomerelia, Chelmno land and Kuyavia to Poland and Masovia completely to the Masovian Piasts and the alliance of Poland with the Teutonic Order at this point Silesian duchies and Masovian duchies distanced themselves from the Polish crown and became defacto independent.[/FONT]
