The biggest Egypt come 1906

The eastern border of Egypt, a line from Rafah to Taba, was established in 1906 following discussions between the British and the Ottomans. Since Egypt was nominally Ottoman, it was technically an internal boundary.

What is the most territory the British could have gotten for Egypt in 1906? OTL they tried for Aqaba, but a stubborn local Ottoman Police Captain pushed out the British.

It was noted that in the 19th century Gaza was more tied to Egypt than Syria. A border running just south of the Judean mountains from just north of Gaza to the Red Sea could perhaps work.

What about south? Is there a chance that Sudan - or at least the Muslim northern 3/4 or however much - could hve been included? I seem to recall an older map calling it "Anglo-Egyptian Sudan." This might require an earlier POD but it seems possible since you ask "by 1906."
