THE BIG SWITCH (Southern Victory)

Well, they most likely win in North America, and get crushed everywhere else
Problem is that you can't really conquer North America from Afro-Eurasia, the logistics simply don't work

The interesting question is whether Japan sticks with the Entente - while there’s no love lost with the Americans, there are benefits to the two cooperating (Especially of the Japanese put gains in the Malay Archipelago at the expense of GB before more miles & miles of miles & miles in Russia.

Wouldn't Maximilian's heir be on the Mexican throne at this point? Depending on how things go, that heir has to be either
  1. A son of Maximilian himself (possible - his wife was only 27 when he died OTL)
  2. A son of Archduke Karl Ludwig
  3. Agustín de Iturbide y Green
If it's (3), then the Emperor of Mexico isn't even a Hapsburg.

Also, is there any possibility of Mexico and the US forming an anti-Confederate alliance? It's not like Mexico doesn't have reason to dislike the CSA's racist attitudes - Mexico banned slavery before the Second Mexican War, after all.

I’d put cash money on the Freedom Party volunteers (and other Southern filibusters) in Mexico during their Civil War being deployed as much to keep the Empire from double-timing them with the USA as to crush the local rebels.

Here's a thought - if the Dual Monarchy (Austria-Hungary), Germany and Russia were to revive the 'Three Kaiser Alliance' after the Great War, which Great Powers would be most likely to align against them? (I'd suggest Japan, France and Great Britain - possibly with Turkey & a few nervous minor powers thrown in; the United States may well sit out this particular clash of Monarchies).
