The Best Songs Never Written

My vote goes to November Rain by Guns N' Roses. It really spelled out what it must have been like to live through the Cuban Missile War of 1962.

Plus the chorus is really catchy- "When I look look into your eyes, all I see are Nikita Khruschev's lies......"

7 Things by blackened death metal musician Miley Cyrus. It describes in vivid detail the life of a Japanese civilian during Operation Downfall, starting with his remaining 7 possessions. Possibly one of the darkest, most gut-wrenching songs ever.

Up Went Nelson!

"Up Went Nelson," the stirring ballad of the first British Rocketteer to actually make it into space. The Americans and Russians had the vast industry, while Britain was still rebuilding from World War II, yet they pulled it off, anmd the ballad celebrates the glory of the empire to this day.

"Heroic Folly," some called it, since Britain couldn't sustain the space program, but it brought vast pride to the empire, and some say it helped stem the breakup.

Even Neil Armstrong saluted him, years later, from Tranquility Base.

Patrick Nelson...a true pioneer...

(And a cookie to whoever recognises the song in OTL with the title)

That would be Irish folk hit regarding the demolition of Dublin's Nelsons Column by...hm.. Go Lucky 4?
