Trump Tower
New York City, New York
"So...you want me to run against George Bush?"
Donald Trump was sitting at his desk, evaluating the man in front of him. Pat Buchanan was advocating to the businessman a possible run for the Republican nomination for President, which concerned him.
"Yes, Mr. Trump. Bush isn't pushing the Republican agenda hard enough, and we need someone in there that will." Buchanan replied.
"No, he isn't pushing your agenda hard enough." Trump shot back. "Besides, Bush is unbeatable. You think I'm gonna waste money on a stupid ass decision like that?"
"So what? You can afford it. Please, Mr. Trump, just hear me out." Buchanan protested.
Donald Trump stood up. "I'm listening." he said.
Pat Buchanan stood up with him. "I'll tell you what, Mr. Trump, if you run in the primaries, and you don't earn a single delegate by Super Tuesday, I won't be hurt if you drop out." he said, though painfully. "However, if you gain popularity, then maybe you could give it a chance?"
Donald Trump sat back in his chair. Finally, he asked, "What about Bush's popularity? How are we gonna get past that?"
Buchanan smiled. "Mr. Trump, you let me take care of all that. I'll do everything I can to make sure you are the next President of the United States."
"I am standing here in Trump Tower to announce that I will challenge President Bush for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. I know it will be a tough fight, but with your support, I will work to give every American a better future!"
