The American Republic

I recall once reading that Simon Bolivar and Jose de San Martin both wanted to join up and form one large Spanish-speaking nation, and that Bolivar would have liked to join up with the USA.

Here's the scenario: Grand Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Central America, and Haiti all join the USA. What happens?

EDIT: Es como el plan de Todo-México, pero hay muchas, muchas más personas que deben asimilar.

Really, do you think in the enlightened period of the late 18th and early 19th Century that either culture would favor something like this?

Are you asking whether I think either culture would favor not favoring the deal as I said, or whether I think either culture would favor the idea in the OP, the conjunction of all of those regions?

Well, I did recognize the fact that racism and religion would make that ASB. This scenario presupposes that there are none of those hurdles.
