Partition is a minority opinion in Quebec but not in Canada. And I said it would be a financial drain IF it became independent, as there are many who want to be independent, but basically let Canada handle everything. The Native lands have proven that they do not want to be Quebecois, and Montreal isn't really a centre of Quebecois nationalism..I used to live there for a bit. Now on the topic of the American view on Quebec. I'd say they don't support it at all. It would strain relations with Canada, a huge ally and oil source for the States, and now even Quebecois are starting to ignore independence considering the NDP winning almost every seat in the province. Quebec offers nothing strategically for the Americans, which is what counts.Partitioning is a minority oppinion, and would touch more the natives lands. the free Quebec would be as it is now. We would negotiate a certain autonomy for natives, too.
And you dont know much on sovereignism, and it shows. It's about self-rule, governing ourselves and all. Again, also, the myth of Quebec ,stealing money off Ottawa' is a farsical old cannard, disproved many times. I can show you links in both french and english.
And again, topic is on USA toward Quebec, free or not anyway.
