Indeed interesting. So to enter one posts their map in this thread, then you'll put up a separate thread for voting? That's different to how the MotF does it with a separate entries thread, we'll have to see how it works out.
Also, the colour angle is very intriguing, I've already got a few ideas. Should be fun, when I have time.

Yeah, it's actually more similar to how the flag contest is structured, in that respect. I figure that with the ABCs taking place over a finite timespan, a single entry thread will work OK.

To everyone else: your interest is very much appreciated! I will point out that there are about 12 hours remaining in the rule-quibbling period, so let me know if you've got questions!

I'm not sure if I'll be making any contributions; I'm really only knowledgeable in editing the boring Worlda and Qbams, and even then my skills are pretty paltry.

Still, if I get some inspiration from one of your ideas, I might try to come up with something.

That sums myself up rather well as well (with the added caveat that I'm don't really know my way around a Qbam either). But I'll be taking part if I get any good ideas (and as long as no one minds low quality worlds being plonked down in the middle of the contest)

Yes, that color must appear somewhere in your entry, and it must be reasonably visible. (If someone posts an entry and I don't think the color is visible enough, I'll let them know.) It doesn't have to be used to color in a country--you could use it as the color of borders, or coasts, or other lines, or text, or relevant decorations such as flags--whatever you think looks good!

Thanks! I knew that the reading was going to be an issue, but it was either that or Ye Olde English Text, which was worse with the coloring.

I have an idea! How about the winners of each round recieve a title that ties in with their letter? For example, the Anax of A, the Baron of B, the Caliph of C, the Doge of D, etc.
