The Aggression of Luxembourg 1940

Seeing an opportunity to benefit from the European War, and wanting to protect itself from a threatened German invasion, Luxembourg unleashes total war on the French.

1,000 picked troops pour into France, the initial attack is repelled but at a heavy cost to France - ten chausseurs die of laughter.

What happens then?

Britain is so shocked that they immediately begin an intense study of the future of Luxembourg foreign and military policy, and are so engrossed in the Luxembourg Emergency that they fail to notice when Germany, emboldened by Luxembourg's heroic sacrifice, speeds up its own time table dramatically and launches Operation Sea Lion. Churchill himself is busy studying maps of Luxembourg and so is not informed of the danger until General Rommel knocks on the door of the bunker and demands the prime minister's surrender.

Well obviously Luxembourg is so financially competent that it simply buys out Belgium and secures it as a base from which to strike against Great Britain. Since the Royal Navy is severely overrated it is easily bought out too and the Luxembourgish army marches on London. With Britain secured, France has no choice but to surrender lest it suffer the same fate.
