Well, I've been rather bored lately, and I just can't seem to think of anything to do with my actual timelines. So, inspired by the collaborative timeline Peace In Our Time, I've started this timeline. So, setup:

We start in 1900, we fill up each 15 years fully before we continue onto the next 15 years. . Now killing of any politician, scientist, or other famous, important person until you get two other posters to agree with you on the proposed death. Also, not really a rule, but more of a preference: I want to make a surviving Russia in this TL, so...try not to mess it up too badly?

Here's four PODs to start us off:

August 6, 1901: The American military, persuaded by Nikola Tesla's efforts to impress them, officially begins using his teleautomatons. As a result, the manpower needs of the Navy begin to be scaled down.

March 28, 1908--Start of the First Balkan War: (While this is an assassination, it'll help to start off the TL: so, yeah...) On a state visit to Serbia, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir presumptive to the throne of Austria-Hungary, is killed by a Serbian anarchist. Franz Josef, Emperor of Austria-Hungary, immediately declares war on Serbia: in retaliation, the nations of the Balkan league declare war on Austria-Hungary.

April 3, 1908: Russia, while not officially declaring war on Austria-Hungary, begins mobilizing its troops in the Carpathians.

September 14, 1911: In an event that would go down in Russian history, Pyotr Stolypin, the Prime Minster of Russia, is shot at by Dmitri Bogrov, a radical leftist. Bogrov aims well; however, Stolypin moves to the right at the last minute, the bullet blowing two of the fingers on his left hand off. Despite this, Stolypin stands, and is shot at a second time by Bogrov; this time, the gun misfires and Stolypin is able to wrestle the pistol away from the would-be assassin, killing him. The next day, the Czar travels personally to Stolypin's home and embraces him in tears, telling him that he will immediately reinstate him as Prime Minister.
