the 13 Colonies in the Scramble for Africa?

So lets say things go very badly for England during the 7 years war. I do not know enough European history to say what the difference would be, but lets say that France wins and keeps all of New France and Louisiana. The 13 colonies succeed, one by one, with perhaps a few hanging on. Several schisms and absorbtions later, they begin looking outward. With New France (and a firmly entrenched new Spain) there is no where to expand but out. So what could the scramble of Africa look like with independent North American colonies participating? Would Virginia or New York fight over the Panama Canal Zone? Some strange alliance between Georgia and South Africa?

This is not the most serious minded question, mind you. I know that a different 7 years war is unleashing multiple Mothras, but i just want yall will come up with ;) Far as i can tell, its never been done.

I dont know why, but i'd love to see Trans-Atlantic partnerships, the HRE with Pennsylvania, Virginia and England, the Carolinas warming up with France, Spain wooing the interior, so on and on. The 13 colonies are essentially European countries with no sense of history, i would love to see them behave as such.

Going back to the 1700s, there are some pretty significant economic connections between the 13 colonies and Africa; unfortunately, they all turn on the trade in human lives.

My guess is there will be some sort of "British North America" confederation/dominion in this situation, especially if France and Spain both remain active powers on the North American continent.

Tough to see the British advantage at sea not becoming a major influence, at some point, however, and once that is in place, not sure the French and Spanish can prevent the Anglo-American Empire (for lack of a better term) from exerting its power. The 13 colonies remain closer to Europe, richer in climate and natural resources, and generally more "open" to emigrants from all the European sending nations than New France or New Spain...that all translates to political and economic power.

Best,

Succeed at what?

Assuming you meant secede, i doubt they would. With a strong French America totally surrounding them, they will want British military support. Theres a good reason why the colonies didnt even consider action until the French were a decade gone from Quebec.
