What if the Kaiser is left in "power" post WW1? Either as a figure head like The Empreor Of Japan post WW2 or still with some authority. My understansding is that he he was actually a bit of a nut case in reality.
 
I am not sure, but wasn't he kinda held responsible by the allies for this mess? I doubt the brits, francais and pals would have kept him around..

It wasn't up to the Allies to leave him in power. He was gone before the armistice and it was an internal German decision.

Hirohito was still there when Japan surrendered and when the Americans occupied. So it was up to the Americans whether or not to keep Hirohito.

This option did not exist in 1918.

Could germany have retained a monarchy if he abdicated? Maybe, depending. Could he, himself, have kept his throne? No way. The entente blamed him for the war, the germans wouldnt have him, no one wanted him.
