Terra Deorum - Land of the Gods

How could it not? Sigmund was one of the greatest Volsung Kings. They still exist right? That would give a good figure to write about in some stories I would think.

Oh. I meant like I don't know much about Sigmund so that's why I wouldn't know how his saga would affect the Geats x]

I'll have to research it.

Look to the East

In the years following the victory over the Confederation, the members of the Holy Alliance slowly began to drift apart from each other. It was clear to all that the majority of power would forever remain in the hands of the Tolosans if they were permitted to hold on to it. Increasingly, the Pontiff, Julian, began looking for a way to escape what he viewed as the Tolosan Domination of the Faith. He set his eyes upon Rome. For too long it had remained under the hegemony of the Ostrogoths and for too long their Germanic deities had lorded over the followers of the Roman gods. Yet, Julian knew that he had to be weary of how to go about with his plan. The Tolosans had to be excluded or else he would simply trade their domination in Avinhon for continued domination in Rome.

Therefore, in 1429, the Holy Seat contacted the Vandal King and the Nourmandsch King to see which of them would entertain his request. The Vandals were not in the position to act upon it as they were still recovering from the heavy losses that they encountered during the war with the Confederation. However, the Nourmandsch, eager to win territory and favor with the Gods, readily agreed. Heavily experienced with cavalry and seafaring, the Nourmandsch began preparing for their eventual invasion of the Ostrogoth controlled Italia. Boosted by news of the Ostrogoths' dynastic struggle in 1430, the Nourmandsch fleet set sail, ready to embark on their conquest.

The Circle of Time
Finally ready to eradicate the Roman presence in Egypt, the Persians began their invasion in 1429. The Roman contingent was easily routed and the Persian army moved from the Sinai, bypassing the Delta to focus further up the Nile. Rallying support from the natives who had grown increasingly distraught by their would be Pharaoh of a Sun King, the Persians were able to swell their ranks with Egyptians and cut off more and more of the Roman food supply. With more and more men and resources, the Persian army was able to defeat the majority of the Roman battalions sent against them. Finally in 1431 as the Persians moved closer and closer to Alexandria, the Sun King fled for his distant relatives in Anatolia. With his flight, the Persians were able to easily take the city with little destruction to its knowledge and wealth. However, the cowardly Roman was not so lucky as the city that he fled. When he arrived in Anatolia, the ruling Emperor had him executed so as to eliminate one of the pretenders to the title of Sun King, which he viewed as his own.
