Term limits in Canada?

What id the Canadians adopted term limits as they had done in the United States? What kind of effect would this have on Canadian politics, and the political system of the nation?

Well depends on when we are talking. If at the beginning, Canada would be an extremely different place. Without the stability of Macdonald in those early years, Canada might not have made it to today. Certainly Trudeau wouldn't have introduced the constitution, Joe Clark would have gotten a longer kick at the can. Terrible concept in my mind. If the voting public believes he or she is doing a good job, they should be left to it until voters grow tired of them.

unless the votes ar rigged

Ja, but 20th c. Indonesia is hardly 19th c. Canada.

It is totally antithetical to Westminster parliamentary democracy.

Heck, there's no such thing as a 'term'. Parliaments can last days or years.

So. Nope. The question isnt even well defined.
