In OTL most people accept that prohibition of alcohol was an error.
Many people (including me) suspect that the prohibtion of other drugs has been a mistake and as I understand it a lot of this resulted from US intitiatives in the 1920s
WI the movement (rightly) recognizing that alcohol misuse can be damaging had concentrated on social disaproval rather than outright prohibition.
I tend to imagine that American society would benefit from a LOT less people being in jail,
However both alcohol and currrently illegal drugs do damage.
Do u think demands for prohibiton might be coming from tghe progressive left in such a society
