Tech advancement had WW1 dragged even longer?

There were enormous advancements in technology both weapons based and otherwise over the course of the war from 1914 to 1918.

Around 1918 some of the major powers were looking to be on the verge of switching over to semi-auto rifles for their standard issues, something that was then delayed until WW2 and even then not really put in place by most.

Had the war dragged on for another 2 or 4 years longer where do you see tech have going?

Tanks being used en masse, more machine guns, precision gas being used more effectively.

More effective use of air and land coordination, radio and truck technology.

Longer range artillery maybe?

If it goes on much longer Europe will start turning red.

Submarines would get huge. If the USA is neutral in this TL some big merchant subs might be produced. Otherwise some bigger German u-cruisers, along with large diesels to drive them.

The Allies might produce better anti submarine mines and might complete (or double down on) their mine barrage projects.

Agree the Allies would get some massed tanks, better air and land coordination, radio, the Germans don't really have the resources to advance this though on their end.

The Allies might be able to do a half way serious serious strategic bombing campaign in 19 or 20, which probably would be somewhat successful against a Germany that may not be able to respond so well.

If the Germans take Calais area in this TL I can see them trying some crazy "London Gun".

This is a good idea, but how? By 1918, everyone was bred out and sick of war. America not joining the War would give Germany victory, or at least a White Peace.
