Taxation With Representation

Keep in mind that there would have been sympathy for the American position among some Whigs.

Two representatives seems small, and unrealistic; why not one per colony?

Fortunately, this era is one in which MPs govern for, not necessarily on behalf of, their districts, so the communication difficulties aren't the end of the world for the American MPs. Similarly, this is an era in which representation is not linked to population, but rather to the population as it was a few hundred years ago, so adding a new seat (and only one) for each colony wouldn't be entirely implausible.

It's possible that American representation in Parliament would help bring the issue of rotten boroughs closer to mind.
